Gonna try and get to an AEW show in 2020. I'm rarely in the US though.

Stop me if you haven’t seen this before
Couple bitter Ex WWE guys start a rival promotion and put themselves in spotlight in some last ditch desperate attempt to prove to world they are “elite” TNA cough TNA. AEW cough AEW Instead of organically building an alternative. They immediately jump in the shark waters. Somethings have worked. Most things haven’t. Color me shocked I’ll give it 3 years before it’s on POP TV. Will be hilarious what happens once Jericho retires. Unless he’s plans to hogan it up and stick around into his 50s |

You had 1 major promotion in the states and it's in a PG era which has bored many wrestling fans to tears. Craving more, fans have been searching for and attending more alternatives over the years. Those alternatives increased in popularity due to the much more entertaining matches which is how promotions like NJPW and ROH received tv deals in the states. WWE noticing this trend started NXT to capitalize on that market. The problem was big names in the indies who went to NXT would either get buried when called to the main roster or they were not given creative freedom and given horrible gimmicks. Many stayed in the indies because of this despite making less money. The indies being at a fever pitch decided to throw an event called All In where all different promotions could collaborate and put on an amazing show on PPV. The show was a huge success and was the 1st Non wcw/wwe show to sell 10k tickets. The Khans seeing that as a possible investment approached Cody who along with the Bucks were the major force putting together All In asked if they could do that full time. They obliged and saw that as an opportunity to get a WWE payday, put on explosive indie style matches but still have creative control for everyone. As for Jericho he was never bitter at WWE. Before resigning with WWE he decided to go to NJPW to see if it was as great as he heard and found out just that and rekindled the passion for the sport. He went to AEW to follow others that were passionate. It has had it's downfalls and problems mainly bad booking and small roster. But I do like/respect it's origins. Imo neither NXT or AEW are half as entertaining as ROH/NJPW were when their rosters were stacked with all of those guys.

AEW has just been bad lately. Im not surprised NXT is winning in the ratings now. People were going to check out AEW for the first couple months and see how it was. And other than Jericho, Omega, The Bucks, and Moxley, they don't have a ton of good talent. And their womens division is terrible.

Anyways, even though these aren't big names it doesn't mean they aren't talented; Joey Janela, Darby Allen, MJF, Luchasarua, Jungle Boy, SCU, Pride and Powerful. Those guys are all very talented. I'll give you the women's division is not great they have a lot of work to do. Let's give them some time to build these guys up though before they say they are no talent hacks. In the same amount of time that AEW has been on TV who are the new stars that WWE is creating? Seth Ro..... Roman Re..... Brock Les...... Rey Myst...... Daniel Br...... Oh wait, it's all the same guys. The one guy that they've built is the Fiend and that's it. I'm not saying AEW is blowing people away by any means. But I think 3 months in is a bit premature to discount them yet.

The womens roster being so thin- there are a total of 16 women talents, sounds like a lot but... Take away Brandi as she doesn't wrestle, Bunny/Allie just transitioned to manager, Leva Bates has been reduced to comedy/enhancement, Penelope Ford is a manager for now despite talent she shown, Sadie Gibbs hasnt been used at all for umm reasons?, Yuka Sakazaki hasnt been used at all i dont think, and Kong despite her angle with Brandi is more a backstage presence. So boom down to 9, technically 8 if you count Nyla Rose suspension. 7 if you dont count Shanna, whos had 1 match before the Rose angle. 6, if you dont count of all people the champ Riho who has only had 2 televised matches i think since becoming champ. Whats that leave, seeing a lot of the same women every week fighting each other. 2nd, all of the ladies are from indies/Japan, nobody really knows them. So they let them run for 15 minutes a match for exposure, which is fine, the matches arent bad...But go back to part 1, it comes off monotonous with the same people wrestling eac other every week. Statlander and Swole WILL be stars, Britt has potential but is still a little green, Shida and Priestly definitely have what it takes. Im not sold on Nyla Rose for various reasons but well see. |

AEW has been pretty bland since Full Gear. Their storylines aren't interesting to me at all. They got too many dark stables going at once. Their womens division is awful. I dont care how many "good matches" they have. I dont care about any of their characters.
AEW is doing Dynamite at State Farm Arena and I decided not to go. I just dont think AEW is worth it right now. If the product doesn't improve in the coming months I may just stop watching them for a while. When the wednesday night wars began Id watch NXT and AEW no matter what. Now I have to think if i feel like watching AEW or just put it off till the next day. Theres a few wrestlers in AEW I like, but they arent doing anything thats must see right now. |

That womens match was not good at all. Riho as champion just makes the whole division look terrible. Then again, they don't really have many good women to begin with.

All in all it was a great show other then the part with Sammy G before his match which was unnecessary.

Yeah good starting match of Moxley vs Trent (who has really put on some solid matches in AEW instead of being a jobber in WWE) to the really fun ending one of Omega & Bucks vs. Lucha Bros & Pac |

Yes, nyla rose is a transgender person, as well as First nation. Sports illustrated ran an article on her a few months ago.

They kind of are starting to push awesome kong a bit already with the new nightmare collective group. I’m just not a fan of Nyla Rose at all. The thing that did it for me was when she was on commentary on AEW dark. I never heard so much cringe come out of 1 persons mouth in my life Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Every Brandi segment is worse than Katie Vick one but that's not the problem.
It's sad how quick AEW has made Lucha Bros just another average tag team. They are the Hawkins and Ryder of AEW now. |

Haven't been a very big fan of AEW so far, other than the WWE transfers. Actually picked up some 3rd row tickets this morning on the presale for the Denver show on March 4th so we will see how it stacks up. It will be their first show after the PPV.
