Will be interesting to see what the NT, Immaculate, or Flawless get. Sounded like there were offers of $125k+ on the Luka Flawless. So I would think Zion’s NT gets at least that much.

Actually happy to see the Zion go a lot lower than expected.

It shows the general public is well aware of what's at play. These are not pack pulled true rookie cards...these are money grab parallel gimmick exclusives.

Still a crazy payday for Panini execs. Hackler about to drop a bag at the local Bass Pro Shop. U g0 b0i....

Why would you pay $500,000 for that card when you could have had one for less than an eighth of the price? The only difference is that one is pack issued. If Zion is a superstar and champion in 10 years, do you think the price differential will still be 8x?

The same reason why a Fathers Day 1/1 sells for less than a 5th of a regular 1/1 counterpart from even a low tier release. The blockchain 1/1 isn't nearly the same caliber of card as the true vertical NT 1/1. It's certainly a cool consolation prize for the person that has money, though.

You could also say that these prices are simply fair market prices that true collectors are willing to pay. Or you could say these are merely prices that are not being pumped up by the parasitic intermediaries of the hobby.

All this talk about price though. Does anyone even try to collect cool cards for the sake of their sentimental value anymore? Lol
