I believe the lawsuit is for any customer of PSA.

As someone who sent cards to them for grading, I believed I was on a level playing field as everyone else who sent cards in. After spending thousands of dollars on grading fees it doesn't sit well knowing they were giving access to dealers for preferential grading and reviews while holding my submissions to a different standard.

I've also bought from PWCC and Probstein. PWCC refused to give an eye-appeal designation to a key card they sold for me, even though it was clearly one of the nicest examples (eye appeal wise) for the grade. If it had ben altered or sent in by Moser, I bet it would have got the stupid sticker.

Most of us have skin in this game.

This case is filed in Orange County Superior Court. You can access the case docket by ...

1. Going to www.occourts.org
2. Clicking on "Online Case Access"
3. Click on "Access Now" next to "Civil Case & Document Access"
4. Click "Accept Terms"
5. Type in the case number of "30-2020-01130892" and year of "2020" and doing the "I'm not a robot"

The case is assigned to Hon. William Claster in Department CX-104. (CX is for Civil Complex).

To the extent any motions are filed, and I'm sure there will be, Judge Claster will likely issue a tentative ruling. His tentative rulings can be accessed here:

https://www.occourts.org/tentativeru...terrulings.htm

And for those who want to attend any hearings in person, the Courthouse is located at 751 W. Santa Ana Boulevard, Santa Ana, California 92701.

The Courthouse is open to the public, but you do have to go through a security check.

Didn’t Hulk Hogan have someone come forward to bankroll his lawsuit against Gawker? What’s to say there isn’t some deep pocketed Hulkamaniac out there that would want to fund this fight?

Thank you BODA.

If there is any need for a BODA legal fund I am in for $1,000.

According to CLCT's annual report Joe Orlando has a law degree. Does any know from where? And if he ever sat for the bar or practiced law?

I think that this pretty effectively answers your question.

I am hopeful someone (preferably a lawyer) can tell me why Iowa is not included under the sections for "Expressed Warranty" and "Fraudulent Business Practices"? Hopefully it has nothing to do with the screwed up caucus?? Thanks

Why is someone suing you for how many posts you have?

And where do you practice?

A more relevant question might be, what proof do you have that the attorneys are doing this on a contingency basis?

IIRC - There's an individual who is a well-known lawyer on another board who had some posts discussing this. I think he mentioned Pro-Bono as he has stake in the game being a collector, though I cannot find the posts now to link

"Baseball-card collecting really ought to be extinct. It’s an analog hobby in a digital world, an expression of fandom in a sport whose attendance is in slow decline and whose cultural relevance is in free fall."

The first sentence!

Without support from information gained from speaking directly with Eric or the law firm, any argument at this point is purely speculative. That includes what I wrote. I admit that. Based on what I do know, however, I don't think that either attorney is doing this on purely a contingency basis.

Yes, that was pretty strange. Almost random. I think the argument is that the hobby would be "dead" by now if not for TPGs, because the institution that supports it (MLB) is dying a slow death.
