Sexton is easily the most underrated RC in this class.

41-point game bump for these prophetic words. Literally had to dig back 11 months to find a thread about him.

yup glad i started it way back. i think the change of coaches has seen a turning point for him.
he has been killing it past few weeks and has progressed nicely since last year.

past 5 games he has put up
41
32
16
31
28
all on over 50% shooting with a nice amount of rbds and assists to go with it.
the 2018 class is superb and this dude has been selling for nothing for a while to what he has been putting up.

I like his toughness. Still has some areas to work on in his game, or could really just be the current Cleveland culture and players around him.

I just cashed out. I sold 20x silvers @$30, which was probably too low since they sold immediately, but it’s been so frustrating watching him play well and get no hobby love

Under rated Fantasy player this year... I got him late in deeper leagues... Very happy with the production, and real good percentages for a PG/Scorer.

Over the last 10 games :

Darius Garland .

35 minutes
5.8 assists
0.4 secondary assists
9.3 potential assists

Collin Sexton.

33 minutes
4.4 assists
0.9 secondary assists
8.6 potential assists

Shai Gilgeous Alexander

36 minutes
4.4 assists
0.7 secondary assists

No I don't know why they don't show SGA's "potential assists"

It was from Twitter.

It's a Cavs beat writer that is adding up how ridiculously bad the rest of the guys are shooting.

As an example, the same Twitter guy, said Sexton would have had 11 assists last night of Cheddar and Delly hadn't gone a combined 3 for 22

Is it a pointless stat? Absolutely... you don't get credit when another dude misses a shot

It's more them trying to make the point, to Cavs fans specifically that follow on Twitter, that Sexton can actually be a legitimate Point Guard. Casual fans think he can score and do nothing else.

He's trying... the rest of the guys aren't helping.

I do like the guy, I always respect guys who give a $hit, and he has legitimate quickness and shot. However, it's going to be rough on him hobby-wise because 1) the Cavs are bad, and 2) in Cleveland (sorry).

He doesn't have a lot of flash to his game, I see a lot of pull up jumpers and floaters, so it's going to be hard for him to generate attention through highlights or winning. Unfortunately, any team relying on him for 20ppg is not going to win, and he still seems too small to ever be a reliable defender. I hope he can get out of Cleveland, but expect him to be more of a Lou Williams volume scorer off the bench than a lead dog or future all star.

Long story short, I have one NT RPA and holding a couple other mid tier RPAs with nice patches, sold my Silver PSA 10 but might try to pick one back up in the offseason, and liquidating everything else. Just no room in the hobby long term for dudes that are solid but not superstars

And .3 , he wasn't one of the draft pick darlings, he had to earn it

All true

I’m not invested at all. I don’t invest in any cards.

I’m just a Cavs season ticket holder. Hence my replies.

Agree with what you said though... except hating on my team

lol it was more of a shot at the city than team, but yeah sorry.

as a Warriors fan, I'd absolutely love someone like him on the team. one thing we've been missing the last couple of years is a dynamic scorer off the bench. ultimately I think that's where he could be most successful, coming off the bench where he can enjoy high usage and not be exposed on defense by bigger 2 guards. hopefully he can keep it up and add to another 2018 draft class success story

Not trying to rain on anybody's parade, but look at the top winshare (only sorting by this since it's a single number) season by guys 6'1" and under:
https://www.basketball-reference.com...=Y&order_by=ws

Looking only at modern players, what realistically do we think his career is going to look like? Even if he has a hall of fame type career like Stockton or CP3, his value won't be that great since their hobby value isn't likely commensurate to their real life value. He isn't an elite 1-on-1 scorer and doesn't have the charisma or personality like Iverson. Even if he has a career like Lowry's it will have been a good career... but look at his hobby value. Look at all other modern players on the list... none have hobby value.

TL;DR - don't invest in short guys.

That’s worse by the way

My City is way more important than the team

@kevinlove
Under-appreciated — a walking bucket.

In my 12 years, he’s right at the top for hardest worker I’ve seen/been around.

What a tweet..,

@kendrickperkins
Since the Cavs got that old man out the way they have been balling under Coach J.B. Bickerstaff!! Colin Sexton has been killing every MF that has walked into that arena!! Btw the Denver Nuggets are front runners and might be a 1st round out. Carry on....
