When you say these prices are criminal, you are saying that this should rise to the level of price gouging where the government is supposed to get involved. The circumstances surrounding this pandemic ought to put this into the proper perspective. I can't think of any product being less essential than baseball cards. I hate to break it to you, but no one outside the hobby cares one bit, the least of which would be the government. Nobody needs cards - it doesn't feed us, sanitize us, or wipe our behinds.

If you can't afford it, don't buy it. I certainly am not because it doesn't take care of my family in a pandemic, and I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Maybe others will? The market will take care of itself.

True, Price for the past years have always went up on Bowman after release also. Dave is feeling his Breaks, so people are buying at these prices. Im waiting on Houdini, hoping he will do a big break.

He's said he is. Exactly how many case-increments is not exactly determined yet (unless I don't have the latest info), but it'll be a few big breaks.

I am still picking up a nice stash of retail (along with some of the hobby) to just stash unopened for the long-term. I think given the hype and potential for Dominguez that you could still do well at MSRP for the long-haul on unopened. FWIW, looks like there are three different chrome prospect autos you can pull in retail: green refractor /99, green shimmer refractor /99, and the new yellow refractor /75 and then there's a bunch of different parallels of the paper prospect autos. I would also bet that all of the non-auto parallels for Dominguez will go for a decent price.

Do you know what MSRP is on the retail boxes/packs? Talking about the retail boxes with 24 regular packs and not the value packs or fat packs. Just trying to see if a place has these for sale at anywhere close to MSRP. Also, is there anything different you can pull in these retail boxes versus all of the other retail SKUs or is it the same?

The price of Gold is criminal compared to 1992-2006 but you'll never see government intervention on it! A precious metal is no different than a sports collectible. It's a free market where supply, demand, investors, etc. all play a role in determining market price. If you wanted to buy Bowman cheap you should have been around prior to 2014. Nobody is going to sell you an ounce of gold for $400 so don't expect to pay $800 for your Bowman case.

I can’t wait for 2021 Gold to come out. It’s going to have a great checklist.

Anyone here that has ordered from fanatics get an email from them to buy Bowman hobby boxes that aren’t going to be online? Thought it was weird

One more bump for Jeff (or others) on my questions. Appreciate any help fellas.

Would also be curious on the retail front if you see any preference between the value packs and the fat packs. Does it matter?

And on hobby, I know the consensus is both hobby and jumbo are overpriced. But, if you had to pick one, what would you do? Hobby at ~$200 or jumbo at ~$400 per box? One auto in hobby and 3 per jumbo so obviously a better deal on autos if you go jumbo. But, hobby has the exclusive orange parallels that are popular. Any thoughts here? Thanks!

I did, almost bought some more. I all ready had 5 cases of Jumbo and 5 cases of Hobby so I passed. Glad I did, have a feeling they wont deliver after what I saw with Optic and Prizm Basketball.

True - but I found the retail prices to be at least somewhat in line with last year so I picked up a bit. No more 4+ Hobby/HTA case orders for me, unfortunately.

Nice, what did you pick up? I have a little bit of everything coming I think. Think I saw there may be gravity feeds as well? Those and retail boxes are only retail I don't have on the way. Have a bunch of blasters, value packs, and fat packs coming (including a case of the value and fat packs).

Did a little more digging on this myself and looks like the fat packs are the best value out of retail compared to value packs and blasters (haven't compared to gravity feeds and the retail boxes). Just going off of last year and assuming it's the same this year, I think the key is cost per chromes in each variety essentially. In fat packs, you get 4 base chromes for $6. In value packs, looks like those also only yield 4 chromes for $11. And then blasters give you 12 chromes for $20. So, on the surface, seems like the fat packs are the best out of these options. Anyone disagree?

Where are you finding the ones you do have, retail wise?

Values and fatties. If I could have found blasters I might have gotten some of those too. I find the retail boxes and gravity feeds less worthwhile.

Where can these be purchased at? Specifically the fat packs? I only see blasters and value packs on Walmarts site.

I think any comparison to last year would be a mistake. Between our current yearly production increases & Jasson Fever I think Bowman sees a 50% production increase AT LEAST. That will probably mean a larger, watered-down auto list and brutal odds in retail. They're going to print this stuff like it's money and the distros are going to hold so much of it back to keep demand at a good pace.

This is basically any halfway decent product these days. Probably why On Demand stuff gets raided, because we don't have to deal with the distros.
