So I got a bunch of these error rcs and was wondering if I sent them to bgs for grading would it be better for there value if the bgs label was marked something like missing topps logo foil on the slab. Would that help the value if they came back that way or not do anything??

How do you identify them as errors? Is it pretty noticeable?

Send them to BGS if you want them graded. PSA won’t slab them.

Edit: here’s a permalink to my post on the Soto I had graded at BGS. PSA rejected it.

Looks like no Topps foil logo.

What percentage of 2020 Topps Series 1 do you think has been opened? I see a lot of parallels available and sold when I search. I know series 1 broke the presses but I also think its been broken at an extreme rate also. I might make a new thread if this doesn't get a lot of action here. I know some people have moved on.

Depends on what you’re looking for. It’s a minute sample, but I’m chasing one card in the set, and have seen zero Father’s Day blue or Memorial Day camo of it on eBay yet. Somewhat surprised by that. Totally unsurprised the Platinum hasn’t shown up though - that’s a total crap-shoot; real needle in a hay field there.

Always double, triple and quadruple-check your ebay search terms folks. I missed a camo on 2/28. Doh.
(In this case the listing had no mention of "S1" or "Series". Lesson learned.)

What’s everyone’s thoughts on series 1 long term. Series 2 I’m guessing will be a dud with no baseball even being played. Not sure what rookies it would have.

If I can pick up some Retail Boxes (24 count) at $54 is it worth it to grab a few? Seems like a good price.

I've opened around 10-12 blasters and done pretty well.

Was in a big group sub for PSA that just popped and not a single person got a 10 on anything from 2020 Series 1. Seems like they're really cracking down on this - interested to see if this will be the case going forward.

At this point, seems like my local retail spots are finally done getting anything series 1. Had some great luck and a lot of fun ripping the product (loved putting together the Turkey Red base set). Favorite hits for me this year:

Bo Bichette RC SSP

Vlad Jr. Gold Cup SSP

Noticing similar difficulties in the PSA 10 grading. I was fortunate to get 3/7 Yordans I submitted back as PSA 10, went 0/5 on Lux.

Took a couple months away from cards, focusing on work and everything else going on. Seems like the value/interest in Series 1 has actually ... gone up? (I see the box prices are actually higher than when I busted a few in February.)

I'd say its due to lack of product.

Yes and no to that. I believe the lack of product is helping but this isn't your normal Series 1 Topps we are use to. The rookie class is very good in it. Add to the fact, Series 2 may not contain very few additional rookies. There may not be an update.

Also, this is the first year the Bonus packs are in the boxes. That is adding value b/c before you did have the option to choose on buying boxes with the packs or cheaper without them.

I think Series 1 is a big sleeper, exactly how much did Topps run the presses on it compared to 2019 with their 1 million pack opening promotion though?

Had to run into Walgreens for a couple things this morning. Surprised to find a couple Series 1 hanger boxes. Didn’t think to check UPC to make sure they were ones with yellow parallels. Sure enough, when I cracked them, they were just standard retail hangers. But this guy more than made up for lack of yellows....
