Completed my Kobe rookie year base card gem mint collection (pic heavy).

Besides the Topps Chrome, which is a card I purchased back when it was $15 in '97. Probably get a gem one day down the line.

Big thanks to SalukiGuy for selling me the final one I needed (Flair Showcase Row 2) and YeKan for letting me know he had one available.

As a brief introduction, a few years ago I decided to pare down my collection and focus on high grade, particularly rookie year stuff. At that time, PSA 10 RCs weren't going for the prices they are now (i.e. base Topps was like $40-50). I just started it as a project because I thought it'd be cool to have one of each rookie card in gem mint condition. I was outbid or just missed a deal numerous times but I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have been able to put this together.

As a shameless plug, I've been bumping this thread (https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1190306) for a couple years looking for rookie year stuff and still have items on my checklist. I will always be interested if I don't already have it.

I'm putting all the pics in here including some of the ones that might not technically count like oddballs, unlicensed ones and I consider 1997 SPx Die-Cut to be rookie year:

the e-x2000 is super overrated...

i miss it, and glad it went to a good home though!

for those not getting the sarcasm, e-x is underrated if anything.

Amazing collection! I agree about the E-X2000...that is such a tough card to grade so congrats on the 10. I have one sitting at PSA right now and I’d be ecstatic if it got a 9.

Not upgrading my RCs to GEM MINT is the one thing I regret not doing with my Kobe PC when prices were low.
I do have a few BGS 9.5 and PSA 10 but unfortunately not the TOPPS or E-X2000.

I see your E-X2000 doesnt have the thumbprint on the top border, now that's rare!

Wow! That E-X2000 in PSA 10 is incredibly hard to get, as they don't come up often. Already worth a lot, I think that card is going to be worth a ton of money some day.

I love the Flair Showcase rookies as well. Heck of a collection!
