If nothing was done and you and others have done your part and will keep doing so by not being able to race and such.

Thank you Chez for your contribution.

They didn’t say how long it would take to get to 500k so we still got a chance. Any flu deaths - charge it to China virus. Not sure how someone died - charge it to China virus. Gunshot wound - charge it to China virus. Heart attack - China virus. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Wife just told me that Waldorf closed Station 12 where she was doing her EMT assessments before all of this started as 19 firefighetrs and EMTs tested positive for COIVD-19. The town is going to need a lot of mutual aid as it was already pushing the limits with just 2 fire stations and 1 EMS station.

I'm mad that my SD didn't tell me yesterday that all of the local fire departments (including ours) was doing a parade at the hospital in La Plata to honor the nurses and doctors working. I would have taken off work and videotaped it and taken photos as it may be the only parade I would have gotten to see this year.

When this crap is all over I want to see if one of my friends in PA (who took these photos) can arrange a photo shoot with Hersey's Fire Department for me. Love their new tower; especially whats on the back.

The problem is people still need to go out and grocery shop, pick up meds, take care of loved ones, etc. The people doing as they wish could have COVID and not even know it, unintentionally passing it on. Wearing a mask is putting the need of many above that of the individual. You could infect everyone you came into contact with in a given day. By wearing a mask, you are making a individual sacrifice, and protecting the many.

I'm not cold-hearted. I know people will die from this. They die from everything in life. Like I said in a post sometime earlier, I have the military mentality. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I think you are very mistaken about the economy coming back. The media and manly liberal Governors have the sheep populace scared to death over this thing until a vaccine is found and approved for mass use by all. We;re talking next year. There is no way the economy would bounce back from a shutdown like that. Like I said, you keep businesses and rentals closed in these shore towns from May - September on the East Coast, every shore town is dead. There is no coming back unless the Feds cough up 50 trillion to pay everyone who lost a job, all businesses, and all States and local municipalities who lost on tax money.
The economy bounced back from a great depression which lasted 43 months. It may take some time but we will bounce back.

If sports came back without fans it would suck anyway. I did something today I thought I would never do, after my wife finished her work from home Day she asked if I wanted to ride to target for cards, she had surprised me yesterday with cards as she had to pick up something for work from Walmart. I told her why don’t we wait till next week so you are not going out on consecutive days. We will get by at least you are getting to leave the house, I am only leaving the house to walk my property and get fresh air and the only people I get to see is my sister in law and her husband.
Yeah, it is sad. My mom and I had originally planned to go to Hawaii this week but ended up holding off when all this first started. Now, we are probably not going to make it over before my brother's next deployment. Though, it is looking like he may get Boston. That would be nice. We can drive there, which will make my mom rather happy.

The delivery company is here now with the beds. How exciting! I am super excited for the kids. This is their first new bedframe. Everything has been hand me downs or from 2nd hand stores.

Just reported by the Contracting Officer that a military member may have exposed my contractors in the hardware division to COVID-19. Of course she received this notification yesterday and didn't pass it on to us until today. Meanwhile I have had one contractor sitting in that room that was supposed to be closed today with no notification and no signs on the door. Last day in the building was 03 April for that military member, so 14 days would basically be over today.

I'm getting real good at filling out the company COVID-19 Intake form and getting my name known to HR.

Another parade I was going to attend in NY was just cancelled for June 13th. So much for opening the country back up.

Don't you constantly complain (redundant) about having to wear a mask???

Just put a GD mask on and stop your everloving whining!

You can't buy liquor at the grocery store? That's pretty silly
