A low print run could make a card and its artist even more famous.

That Brett card is fantastic.

It is both unfortunate to be paired with someone that doesn't seem to take this seriously and the fact that Friday drops are not ideal. 2000 isn't a bad PR considering, but still "wasn't ideal." I think you got a raw deal on your Griffey pairing as well. Maybe you get your Thomas or Gwynn paired with Trout on a Tuesday drop. That would pump that up.

Either way, It's a nice card and I picked up a few.

Of course that Rivera was low. Alan’s garbage should hit low card on all 20

Thanks for grabbing a few! That's correct about Friday drops, don't get the traffic of the next card dropping so might be a day collectors look at for stocking up on low PR's.

I'm trying to understand what the artist is doing and my interpretation is that he's highlighting the clothing of the players which I believe is what he does for a living if I'm not mistaken.

If his work for Macy’s increased in price as fast as his work for P2020, they might reach out to him.

Looks like they are selling fairly well. Will be interesting to see how they end up.

Since everyone seems to be in unison about Oldmanalan's card designs, I'll point out that they are clean and simple. This modern aesthetic is very much appreciated by a large segment of the population (maybe not overlapping with sports card collectors).

For example go to a random sports article on medium.com and then go to a random article on espn.com. A lot of websites are moving toward the style that medium embodies. Sure, it's not a 1:1 comparison with sports cards but for some people there is beauty in empty space and clean lines.

It is obviously not for everyone.

You guys complain about artists doing too much, you complain about them not doing enough and you complain about it not being just like the living sets and it being like the living sets. But its your opinion on art...so it's right (for you)!

And prices keep climbing.

Those early cards are climbing fast. #1 might make a run at Ermsy Trout prices.

It always comes down to interpretation. I think his art adds to the depth of the Project2020 collection. Definitely simple and clean. I actually went to the Topps site to purchase a few and missed out.

I also think most of us are just poking fun at it because it's not for them as you stated.

I know there are people trying to put the full 400 card collection together but I think most will focus on a specific artist or card. All 20 of any artist would be a nice display piece for a wall. So each artist's lowest total will probably be a 3 figure card.

Yeah, "poking fun" is one way to put it. "Beating a dead horse" is probably more accurate. *sigh* Seventeen more Oldmanalan cards to go!

With that being said, if anybody have below cards and willing to do 1 to 3 trade with an Ichiro by Ben Baller, please let me know.
I think the trade value is fairly equal now, and believe Ichiro have the most upside among the 4 cards, with being card #1 of the series (I may be biased being an Ichiro fan and being owner of the card myself), but with prices fluctuating so much day by day, there might never be a "right" value to ascertain for these cards/trade.
I'm missing the below cards from my set so far, and would rather get it all at once via trade than to go on a multiple bidding war on eBay.

#2 Sandy Koufax by Jacob Rochester
#3 Jackie Robinson by Naturel
#5 Carl Ripken Jr by Fucci

I don't think a lot of people bought the above cards in multiple volume when it came out, so might be tough for others to let go on a trade, but trying to give this a shot before I go to ebay bidding.

Please PM me or reply to my post if somebody is up to the trade.
