You'd have to try pretty hard not to make $300+ resale just on the base set singles minus the green wave packs.

Zion and Ja are like 150 total. The rest are easily 150+ especially when you figure Bron and Coby White alone are about 40-50. Then a ton of other 5-12 dollar rookies and stars left.

If you have bulk boxes, it may be worth it. Since Ja or Zion should theoretically land one in every 4 gw packs. I got both out of 4 loose boxes including a well centered coby white.

This is not even taking into account the potential of grading which could increase margins exponentially.

I've got something like 11 Zion, 10 LeBron, 10 Morant, and Zion green in PSA limbo. Added to the list of all the other products I've blown, no reason to have only ordered 20

Can't kick ourselves too hard. Virtually everything you put money into 6 months ago is worth at least double. This multiplying by a factor of 5 is a happy anomaly.

Funny to think that a few months ago I was scared to let my wife know that I had dumped over twenty thousand dollars on basketball cards in a couple months. Being able to sell 1/3, hold 1/3, and the last bit just timing sale to maximize profit feels great.

I would say real. That's a pop 1 at the moment because people weren't able to get cards graded the last month.

Opening these, and grading, is the best way to maximize value per box.

If you prioritize a simple process, a bulk sale to blowout would probably be best. But for me, I'm all all aboard stuff like this that you can enjoy opening and do well on.

A sincere question because I'm ignorant. Does this apply even when grading can take 6 months? In theory prices could tank in that time? Or are you talking faster submission types?

I guess I should've used a different word. I don't know what these cards are going for, but in 6 months could they decrease 20-30%? Not sure, especially given how crazy things are these days.

It definitely is. Especially when just one Lebron gem'd can already net you 6x+ on your investment, in addition to everything else. I'm really tempted since I have a sealed case I'm still sitting on. But debating about the time and effort.

If these sets/singles crash in the near future, it will be because the entire basketball market crashed...not because the fanatics sets are bad or lack demand. Because they aren't.

The short answer, IMO, is yes - this still applies if grading takes 6 months.

Can't imagine it would take that long, but then again PSA is a bit wild. Even so, I don't see prices tanking.

dont open them. I opened 1 of my sets and had printers lines running though both Zion and Ja

I also had 1-2 sets (of 4 opened sets) that had printing line issues on main RCs. Fortunately hit a Green Wave Zion that was unaffected.
