Default Jordan Fleer BCCG Question

Looking at picking this up locally. Everything looks good to me, I just want to get some of your opinions on a couple things

1- Does anyone see any evidence of trimming or this card not being real. I know trimmed copies have been graded by bccg before.

2- is there a rule of thumb on what a bccg transfers to?

If anyone needs better pics please let me know.

From the looks of it, everything looks good.

Also, from what I see there no possibility of trimming but that’s just my opinion.

It should be a BGS 5 at worst but I reckon it’s a BGS 6 and upwards of that if you’re really lucky with the grader.

Every time I've talked to Beckett they've stated that the grade received from BGS would be no less than 1 grade less than the one from BCCG. This makes sense since they are the same people grading the cards. This has held true for every BCCG card that I've submitted. That being said, I don't see any chance that card gets a 7.

That simply can’t be true because BCCG grades only go down to a 5. This is potentially the case for BCCG 10 cards, but otherwise this can’t apply as it’s basically saying that a card can never be worse than a 4. Below is a correlation I found online that makes sense, though I don’t know its origins.

BCCG 10 Mint or Better = BGS 9 or Better
BCCG 9 Near Mint or Better = BGS 7 or Better
BCCG 8 Excellent or Better = BGS 5 or Better
BCCG 7 Very Good or Better = BGS 3 or Better
BCCG 6 Good or Better = BGS 2 or Better
BCCG 5 Poor or Better = BGS 1 or Better

BCCG 6 Good or Better = BGS 2 or Better
BCCG 5 Poor or Better = BGS 1 or Better
This is more accurate than 1 grade below the "BCCG grade" which are so misleading to novices.

You do a ton for the forum so mad props, but gotta disagree here with what you found on the interwebz. I have found that the only reason to do BCCG is mass grading for the protection of the better case or to be able to hopefully sell 10s for people hoping to crack them and get good BGS or PSA grades.

Personal experience I have bought a BCCG 10 Bird/Magic/Dr. J (RC) and it ended up a BGS 8.5.

There is no proper correlation that works but assume that if it's a BCCG 10 it's in pretty close to Mint or better and if it can't even get a BCCG 10, there is something that BGS and PSA will rip apart. The card above looks like a 5-6 to me.

Beckett specifically rates the cards graded by BCCG with the same grade names (Good, Excellent, Near Mint) as those grades that I wrote up that list with. The 8.5 (NM-MT+) instead of a MT 9 is because Beckett is inconsistent. The original grader claimed it was Mint or better, and the second graded didn't agree.

Looks good. PSA 4/5? Damn nice card.

FYI - i bought a bccg 10 that looked damn good. I figured it was psa 9, came back psa 8 . It’s just luck of the draw. I’m sure there are some nice bccg 10 that can be a psa 10.

It can if what he meant was the verbal assignment, not the number... which makes sense. EX = BGS 5 and a BCCG 8 is EX.

I'd guess "5" on that card (I know, big stretch), but a nice looking 5.
