If that happens you have to sell. Name one other product in the history of the hobby where long term the base is worth more than an official numbered parallel version of the base card. Would you rather have a base 2011 Update Trout or the Target Red Version or the Diamond version. |

The majority are not even bothering with the AP. I understand AP being numbered, but a cheap frame and Topps writing the #s on it, give me a complete set and an artist auto. Just my thoughts. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |

Last time I saw cards go up triple digits overnight was in 2002 and eTopps. Didnt last then and wont last now. That being said a lot of $ will change hands between now and then. |

Started in 2000 with a small run of football cards. First main release was 2001 with baseball (Ichiro rc 10,000 pr and Pujols RC 5000pr) Then the monster a 147 2001 football set. Lowest print run was 186 with Tony Banks. Lots of other low printed guys as well. Most of these were held in bulk by a very small number of people. Then in 2002 Topps decided to advertise the program and print runs EXPLODED. Everything was in the thousands and those early 2000/2001 cards doubled in price pretty much every night. Tony Banks was over $1000 at one point and the most valuable base, non rookie, football card in the hobby (at this point you knew it wasnt going to last). Program lasted for 10 years....lots of money changed hands. First warning sign was...every card was a "winner" automatically worth more than what you could buy it from Topps for....yeah the hobby doesnt work like that. Part of that was with eTopps it was only 1 card per account; yest there were several ways around that but most people couldnt get the cards in bulk except in secondary market. With P2020 you can buy as much as you want right from Topps...IF every card is a winner with this print runs will quickly go super sonic. The price action you need to watch is the flip. The ability of a card to immediately go meaningfully above issue price and stay there. Thats what a few of the big Now guys have tried to artificially create with Now cards. Lowest Gooden Ermsy BIN is not $100 there's an auction with 10 hours left at $40. If Williams PR is 4000+ this one could see a really nice bump.

Took me a while but finally decided I wanted to do a Jeter set + the Naturel set. Wish I would've decided a few days ago when the Jackie was still $50-60, but whatcha gonna do.

But with art and artists Some of this will hold amazing value in long term compared to the 16-18 dollar price tag Something that happened in living set I see coming soon to this The first 10 cards are worth 1500 dollars. People see a 1000-1500 pay day and sell out. They don’t come back. |

This is my opinion as well. I got pulled into Living Set for a few months and had a nice collection going but I couldn't commit to a never ending set. This has a definded deadline and plan.
