I say yes. It's like the 89 griffey. First card that started Upper Deck. The Ichiro Baller is card #1 of Project 2020. Same concept and relatively low PR

Yup.

It's too late now though for people who see thse early cards going for bookoo bucks, we'll never see a print run below 2000 again. Those who stick with this 'til the end will reap the greatest rewards though, as I think print runs will begin to fall again as the set continues on through the winter and everyone is obsessed with basketball and football and the latest hyped prospects.

Could be a good old fashioned true "high number" series, somewhere during this year long event

Nice! If Ozzie Smith ever makes it to this set, I'd be in too!

Anytime an Ichiro PR surpasses the previous high, the Ichiro Baller will see a healthy bump.

Mine too. FedEx 'Smartpost' isn't very smart.

I won't be buying it, but today's Gooden is very cool. Well done by the artist.

I can’t wait to see more of Mister Cartoons cards! I’m definitely buying his Rickey...probably.

I think Mister Cartoon's cards grow on you over time.

Some of these really jump out as a card that you have to have. His take more time to appreciate (in my opinion). I think he'll be an artist that people go back to the secondary market for down the road, even with the overall increase in attention and print runs.

I think a tad bit more consistency would yield more collectibility and therefore higher print runs.

Had Mister Cartoon done each card in a similar fashion as his Clemente, I think more Brett would have sold.

People were surprised the vertical Koufax didn’t have a higher PR, yet secondary market value remains low. Had the artist kept true to the original orientation, I truly believe the card would have sold more copies and have a higher market value at the same time. It’s a beautiful card, but it will stick out like a sore thumb in a complete set of 20.

Artists take risks. I think that’s great. Sometimes it pays off. Sometimes it doesn’t.

I always thought about planning a summer road trip around one of these Topps Smartpost Shipping Tracking Slips. Just print it out, jump in the family truckster and see the country "Honey pack the bags, we are heading to South Pittsburg, TN!"

Really like Mr Cartoon’s style. His George Brett is one of my favorite Project 2020 cards so far.

Save your money and rent 'Doc Hollywood' starring Michael J. Fox.

His Clemente is one of my favorites.

Mr. Cartoon was one of the few artists I was going to collect from the very beginning. Happy he’s a part of this Project.

It sucks so so so bad that the 1952 Mickey Mantle isn’t in this

It’s a shame his kids wouldn’t do the right thing and do a deal with Topps

On this note, what would it take to get a Ruth in something like this? Totally clueless about it.

Maybe Topps will spend next year selling prints of this set like they do the Living Set. And in the meantime, they try to get the rights to do the iconic 1952 Mantle for P2022.

Me too. And then life got in the way so I’ve had to pass on the Brett and Gooden. I’ll probably buy his Rickey as long as there aren’t more speedbumps in my future, lol.

I just spent the last hour perusing the Instagram pages and stores of many of the artists. I have to stop, the more I learn about them the more I want to buy their Project2020 set. I notice some of the artists have other items for sale. Anywhere from wall prints to T-shirts and hats. Some of that stuff I'll definitely be adding to my household.
