A friend of our family brought over some Pokemon stuff for me to look at and I don't know much about it. I have looked it up on ebay and see they are worth quite a bit. She is looking for advice on how to sell. She brought over 1 sealed box of 1st Edition Fossil, Jungle, and Team Rocket and 16 loose packs of Fossil that aren't 1st edition. The Team Rocket box looks like the bottom may have gotten damp and the shrink wrap has a hole in it. She says she also has other old odds and end Pokemon stuff such as Burger King Pokeballs and a big Pokemon Pokeball Pop Up Promotional display from the 1st movie. She thinks she might even have the promo material that goes with it. She mentioned something about 2 player starter sets too. I showed her a picture and she couldn't remember if that is what they were or not. Everything outside of the sealed boxes she has in her basement and she hasn't looked at them in a long time. Any experts on here have suggestions on how to go about this stuff? I have pictures of the boxes and packs if anyone wants to see them. Thanks for your help!

No expert but the sealed boxes are probably worth thousands. DO NOT move any of this stuff until you are firmly as knowledgeable as possible or find someone you trust.
There is a website that breaks out what is what but I don't know about pricing specifically. Sealed 1st Edition boxes are the bomb. Good luck with the sales. Might even consider a knowledgeable auction house. Last edited by TimBuckTwo; 05-02-2020 at 05:05 PM. |

wow. the 1st Ed. booster boxes are worth an absolute fortune. Agree with Tim above. Maybe send to PWCC and let them deal with them. Congrats to her.

Sealed Pokemon is on fire right now, there have been significant gains even in the last couple months. I would be really cautious with the box that looks like it has gotten damp. I have seen things like that in the past, where it may not look bad on the outside, but the inside contents are ruined. For that box you may have to open the box, open a pack at the bottom, and if the cards are fine, sell the remaining packs. The flip-side would be selling the box as is but risking a return or chargeback. Definitely cool stuff though.

Congratulations to her.
They're going for a fortune. If she doesn't know much and you guys don't know anyone that 100% knows what to do, have them sent off to an auction house to let them handle everything. |

Thank you to everyone who has posted and the few who have reached out through PM. She has a deal in place for a good portion of the collection.

I saw the LBJ "barn finds" from a members old box recently, didn't think it could get much better than that!
