This should be interesting.
After more than two months off the drivers will take the green flag today without any practice or qualifying. At Darlington, probably the most challenging track they race at. The track has no rubber worked into it so it will be eating up the first couple sets of tires. A difficult track with no grip to start. There is a competition caution scheduled for lap 30 but the tires may last 10 before losing the little grip they will have. Ryan Newman will be back for the first time since his terrifying crash in the Daytona 500 in February. Matt Kenseth hasn’t raced NASCAR in more than a year and will be driving a Chevy for Ganassi, both unfamiliar. What is he going to be feeling as he heads into turn one? I am not making any predictions. I am just going to enjoy racing. But I do have my Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott and JJ cards all on display today and would like to see them do well. |

Its not the same without Danica Patrick, I would tune in just to see haw far back in the pack she was. Watched part of the race today not great but they were on the track.
