2019-20 Panini Mosaic Retail

Today was THE day in northwest TN. 3 stores all with the same stock... 4 megas, 6 blasters, 10 cellos, 18 hangers. So, a grand total of 12 megas, 18 blasters, 30 cellos, and 54 hangers in 2 hours. I left NONE for the kids!!! Also, 5 Bowman baseball blasters per store, 15 total. Next week will be the big release of retail for Bowman in my area.

yeah, I was told by a buddy nothing @ lenox or buckhead targets.. And I checked snellville myself.. i'm losing interest and think I will just wait until Sunday or Monday when the quick flippers cave to $29 a hanger

Ok..I'm officially done hunting for the week. My two week haul is

8 megas
18 Blasters
20 cellos
9 hangers

I'm planning on opening all of it. Just wanted to wait in case i find more. Love having a huge ripathon. Crazy though i saw zero Bowman Baseball anywhere

You would’ve been there too early cause I had gone there about the same time u did and found none cause I was headed to Waxahachie for a job found 2 empty trays at Waxahachie went back to CH and found 750 worth of mosaic 100 Bowman

Just spend about 1500 (plus tax) on eBay. Here's the total haul:

2 Megas
5 Blasters
21 Hangers
3 Cellos

Can't believe prices dropped as fast as they did. Happy to pay a little bit than 2x MSRP while saving time and gas (not to mention also being a little paranoid about the virus).

Made the decision today. I can no longer compete for retail. My area is overrun with guys I've never seen before. RIP calculusdork.

Popped into a WM on my way home. Saw the rep unloading!! And there were three guys already in line getting their carts filled with it.

Meanwhile, my LCS owner gave me a great price on a case this week. Who would have EVER thought that retail madness would drive collectors back into hobby shops?

Prices temporarily dropped during restocks because there's a lot of new supply hitting eBay and people are undercutting each other for immediate profits. It's a good time to buy.

Congrats on the pick-up! You got them at a good price via eBay. If you want to save an additional 10-15% (for future reference), I recommend you considering to buy via FB groups.

I am starting to feel the same way. I got lucky and did well with Mosaic these past two weeks.

At our local show last weekend I heard similar stories about 3, 4, 5 guys waiting for rep to unload. Crazy times, never would have thought.

Hard for me to stop completely but I won't be chasing everything under the sun.

It's significantly underproduced compared to Prizm (probably Optic too).

Do you not remember loads of people buying 100+ retail boxes of Prizm via online Walmart restocks? Or people loading up on megas/blasters via online Walmart/Target restocks? It constantly came back in stock and I even scored 15 blasters via restock.

Such opportunities aren't available with Mosaic unless you were one of the initial luck ones like mcwildcats/BOT. Even then, they scored a bunch of blasters/cello packs but not retail boxes.

I think the demand has increased by about 1000% in my area. In the last two years (before Optic), I've only ever seen like 3-4 guys looking for cards at the same time I was, in probably over 200 retail stops.

0/4 at Target and Walmart today...not even one pack worth buying at any store, it was a wasteland of Score Football and Topps Series 1. I did see THREE empty Mosaic displays at one Walmart that were not there the last time I went to that particular store, so somebody beat me to a good haul. I bought 2 megas off eBay for $280 shipped as a consolation. That’s probably the only retail I’m going to buy until Chronicles comes out in July, because I’m not going to find anything in stores.

COVID has definitely made the retail hunt worse because there are too many people not working that have nothing better to do than to hunt and clean out every store in my area. Maybe I’ll have better luck when 2020-21 product comes out!

Sounds good. If you want some FB group recommendations, feel free to PM me (you might already be in some/all of them though).

It does take a little more effort but if you're saving 10-15%, it's worth it. And today's the day to load up because of the increased supply. All the best, yiguiri!

Hit 7 Walmart’s in PA today. Every one with 3 empty Mosaic display trays. Totally cleaned. Guarantee someone has an inside track on this. The only two times I’ve got lucky with either Mosaic or Optic was at the same Target where I happened to find the rep stocking. Very frustrating to see how big these reloads are and not get a shot at anything for me and my son to bust.

Gardena one didn't even had Optic, at least I never saw even an empty shelve. I think of all of the Torrance ones, only one carries product.

Your best bet are the ones on Redondo Beach and Hawthorne. I was trying to find Optic but at least found some Chronicles and Status hangers in Hawthorne.
