We'll see. If I do decide to resell I'll just use the funds to reinvest in more of his cards. He still has 15 more to be released plus autos.

Well, if you do get cold feet before they arrive....I'm always willing to take it off your hands for 20% over MSRP so you can splurge on 3 upcoming releases.

I haven't seen much Efdot chatter with the low print runs. His first two releases were <1500, and his Williams is one of the top ten releases artistically. It's also the card where he hit his stride and made me a collector.

Like Blake, Beck, Taylor, and Ermsy, he hasn't strayed in his design. I think this set will absolutely pop when put together.

Also, he hasn't done a big name for the set, and is here on the boards!

I'm a fan. His Ryan is my second favorite card of the series.

This. This damnit! THIS, was what I was looking for when I was questioning Topps Project 2020 EARLY art. If this was posted when it kicked off, my mind would have been open to buying new things (I was going to say explore or try new things, but we all know what that really relates to - lol).

Anyways, ninjacookies - thank you for making such a BRILLIANT post. And also screw you for not making it earlier and costing me my early retirement.

I kid, I kid. But I really do appreciate your post!

Art is different to different people. My wife's favorites are Fucci and Shore, Fucci faceless is easily my least favorite and Shore to me is meh so he can copy an elementary school kid's drawing style. But those are what my wife says hold the most artistic value and she's studied art history unlike me. I don't see why we're arguing over artistic merit, buy the cards you like personally! Not everyone has to or is going to agree with you on artistic merit

Yep. I've always been a fan of graffiti style art which is why saladeen is my favorite. I wish I had seen his card at the beginning instead of the others I didnt like which made me stay away.

I need to make a correction. They're not hand painted. He is designing a new fanny pack, but they'll still be hand signed and hand #'ed by him.

Are you a well known artist? Have you ever had pieces of your work displayed? etc? No? Then I'll pass.

Hold, I can see them at $350-$375....especially once cards hit the 60-70K print run.

Totally Agree.

We thought this might be the set High PR and it would take all the stars aligning to come close.... now... its possible Baller Trout might not even be in the top 10 overall once it's said and done.

I'm still in awe at whats happened since May 1. I feel like the next announced print run will tell us where the set's going and its been going well every week. P2020 has only hit new articles/Beckett......once this goes television, radio and mainstream news...as someone said, its going nuclear.

I dove into the Topps Archives and finally reviewed every release. I was in and out for 20-50 because lack of funds (wife got furloughed), concentrating on my designated player, and slight disinterest.

After looking at them all, I can see why several of these are cracking four digits. This is my ranking without any monetary value assigned.

Siff (finally bought my first one)
Efdot (got all of them)
Jamieson (a few...)
Thiele (a couple)
Shore (none, not even the KGJ)
Beck (none)
Naturel (sold)
Chang (none)
Ermsy (sold and holding)
Saladeen (sold/selling)
JK5 (just purchased)
Taylor (a couple)
Cartoon (none)
Baller (two...for resale)
Grotesk (one)
Fucci (a couple)
Rochester (two)
Vides (none)
OldManAlan (none)

Don C could be anywhere, but I need to see a couple more examples first.

I can see the art in at least one of each artist's releases so far. I truly don't think there's a bad one, because I can't recommend a replacement. There's something for everyone.

Ebay is so buyer friendly that it surprises me that sellers would be relisting cards on the same account they cancelled on ... all it takes is one spiteful buyer to buy a card and claim item not as described, and then they get a free card. When you’re talking that amount of cash I wouldn’t put anything by anyone.
