Have you lost confidence?

Think of how lucky you are to hold a low PR card. Your card could possibly be the one needed to complete a full artist/player set.

Hold on to them tight. There's not a lot to go around

30 of 1100ish #2 Sandys are on eBay.

That means 97% are currently being held onto.

You nailed it man. After the dust settles, the set collectors are still looking for:
Player runs
Artist runs
Complete set

Low PRs are gonna be maybe 5-8 on eBay in a week.
Just my hunch.

No matter how it goes this thread needs to be put in some sort of collecting time capsule. Probably right next to the first person to have 8 mortgages in 2006 or those with zero equity, $150k in debt and 75 Airbnb properties in 2020.

I would pay a significant sum just to have a true (complete) purchase/sell history of every person for all of P2020. Its just fascinating.

What are people doing about return requests. Market drops and they want to return everything. Algaboo is crying some sob story about his job, yet he has several cards for sale totaling over $50,000.

What is even considered a low print run at this point. Under 10k?

I’ve received my first order cancellation request. (Brett Cartoon) Guess the buyers remorse is kicking in for some. How should I handle this as the item is already in transit, but has not arrived to the buyer yet?

They are taking returns That’s what.

It’s messed up. I’m taking a bath because he waited 3 days to return the item.

Did you get a crazy story to go with the request? Give him a crazy story back.

"I'm sorry, but I will be unable to cancel this transaction and give you a refund. I have a leaky rectum, and 100% of the proceeds from this transaction went to finding a cure. I just don't have the money anymore to give you a refund. I hope you understand. If at any point my rectum stops leaking and I am able to return to work I will refund your purchase price. Please do not message me anymore, as it is very hard to check my messages regularly due to how much time I spend in the bathroom on a given day. Stay safe out there.'

Hierarchy for me:
First 10 then...
Under 1500
Under 2000
Under 5000
Under 10k

Not me... I find SGC holders ugly. I really don’t get the appeal. Is it because the labels are senior citizen friendly? The grades look like the numbers on my grandmas old push button phone.

Prices coming down to reasonable levels is a good thing for so many reasons. Inflated prices are tough on buyers and sellers. Buyers can't get the stuff they want. Sellers have to sit nervously on the funds hoping they are not setting themselves up for returns. Unless you can move them for cash, which also isn't easy, especially with no card shows. Plus when prices are nuts, you get the slimey Mosaic hoarders jumping in.

I'm still in it this one for the fun. I started with goal of getting a Trout and Williams run. If prices come down further, I may even take a shot at the full set. Plus I've become familiar with some cool artists that I didn't know existed. I had posted a few odds/ends that I picked up cheap on eBay, but I've since pulled them down. I'm in until the end -- no matter what the prices do. And I can't wait to see what's in the fanny pack!

The reasonable collectors are starting to show up on this board. I'm going for a run of Beck, Siff, Jamieson and maybe Don C and Mattingly, though there are a couple I'm still missing. Prices going down is great for now. It does seem there are enough collectors making independent bids to sustain interest while thinking long term. Good for the hobby, and a reminder to collect what you like.

Unfortunately, no... I got a "buyer changed his mind"...

I think it's a pick from a drop down list kinda deal. I didn't really need a solid return policy before. I basically say that I handle returns on an individual basis. Assuming the only return requests I would have would be "Damaged in the mail" sort of deals.

I'm a collector first and small time flipper next, basically buy what I want to collect. In this case, keep 3, flip 7... probably going to say if he pays return shipping, I'll take it back. Just ballsy of him to do the request while the item is in transit.

Officially got my first cancellation this morning... Is the "son using my credit card" the only excuse people have?

"Hello there! As unfortunate as this is I do have to request a refund for this item. It was purchased by my son who loves baseball and baseball cards but certainly doesn t have 1300 dollars to spend on one card. I just noticed the charge on my credit card this morning. Usually in a situation like this I would just make him work to pay this off but this is just too expensive for our family to withstand right now.I am kindly requesting that you help us out by graciously allowing a return. If you are unable to help us with that I will have to go to eBay and try to fight it as this action on my credit card was un-authorized and not intended. I truly am sorry for the inconvenience to to you. Thank you for your help"

Seriously, stop selling card you don't have lol

"Order was confirmed by the seller this week and I should have the card in the next week. Buy with confidence as I will issue a full refund if I do not receive the card or it is damaged. Thanks!"

Lame excuse, and the most common.

Unfortunately, right now, it's the risk you take selling anything "high" at this particular time.

This "Project" will be going through numerous cycles, and it is fun to watch.

Well this works in your favor. If you do not accept returns, then they can only return it for item not as described. With the guy not even waiting until the item arrived to ask for a return gives you leverage because if they try opening a case with eBay, you have evidence that they wanted to return for an invalid reason.

I got off the phone with eBay support and I explained the situation to them. They said that since my listing stated no returns that I could just decline the return and I will be covered. My package does require signature and has insurance and even if they don't sign for it and it comes back I get to keep the money. I was surprised as they usually side with the buyer on these.
