After figuring everything yesterday morning, I had to leave for work before getting the chance to update this.

As of yesterday morning, the value of the above was $1,207,000, (roughly a $94,000 gain from the previous day). Price increases are starting to slow down.

As of this morning, (May 28th), the above is worth $1,151,000, (roughly a $57,000 drop).

Prices have tapered off as a whole over the last 24 hours. Thank goodness, as we needed a break! It will be interesting to see how things look over the next few days.

Awesome, Matt!!!

Gwynn is awesome man. Williams is one of my favorites so far in the entire set.

I'm still between Williams and Gwynn as my favorite one I've designed. Need to see them in person first.

Outstanding work, keep it up.

The Mattingly is a really nice looking card, love the artwork. But I don't like it at all for this set. I actually like Cartoons work on other cards. This doesn't fit.

I think he's definitely playing off of the 1990 features more there ... that Thomas is easily one of my least-favorite original cards Topps picked.

Added links to JK5's P2020 store and to Tyson Beck's youtube channel to the OP. Please let me know if you find others and I'll add them.

The other thread in Baseball is an 880 page disaster. Hopefully the original guys that appreciate P2020 for the cards and artists migrate back here, and leave all the flippers, speculators, and negative Nancys in the other one.

I am one of the collectors and happy with the progress of my Trout and Griffey collections. This is a pic of my Trout’s, all ordered direct from Topps.

I love that display. I’ve been trying to think of a cool way to display some of my cards for awhile now.

After seeing this...

And calculating this:

I realize that ^^^ is worth $372,000 today, (as of a few hours ago).

Is anyone else stacking P2020 like one stacks gold or silver coins?
I've been getting private messages saying people have been wondering where I went. Ladies and gentlemen, I got to where I couldn't keep up with this epic thread!

I started off skipping and only reading 1 of every 5 pages. Then it was 1 of every 10 pages. I then had to just step away so I could continue to work. LOL

I'll give an update on how my P2020 has faired since I first started posting about it:

On May 23rd, as stated above, the value was $372,000. From there, here is the breakdown day by day:

$372,000
$519,000 (gain of $147,000)
$827,000 ($308,000)
$1,113,000 ($286,000)
$1,207,000 ($94,000)

$1,151,000 (Loss of $56,000)
$1,020,000 ($131,000)
$868,000 ($152,000)
$706,000 ($162,000)

From it's peak of $1.2 Million, to today's value of $706,000, I have lost $501,000 in value.

However...From the beginning of keeping track just 8 or 9 days ago, the $372,000 worth of cards has grown to $706,000. A gain of $334,000.

I am honestly enjoying the dip. It's what was needed for the future health of this product. We aren't yet 25% of the way into P2020, so we are in for more interesting times ahead.

Prices are likely to drop more from here, and they are likely to rise from there. This product in and of itself is iconic. I don't think Topps will do P2021 next year. They might do another art based product though, as might Panini and Upper Deck. All that will be good for P2020 as this is THE ground-breaking set that started what's to come.

For those of you that think the floor hasn't come yet, (that prices will continue to drop), you might be right. But I'm going to be betting prices will eventually climb from here, and this product will go down in history as something everyone wished they owned a piece of.

I will own my piece. Will you own yours?

Maybe more people will migrate back over to this thread now that the hype beast has died down.

I love how you already have the stands in place. That's going to look great when finished

So just an update, I’m still chugging away on the full set, plus a Mattingly 20 and Saladeen 20. Then mixing in some extras for cards I like and think may do well to flip. Basically trying to end up with 3 sets I really want, and offset some or all of the costs by selling some. The most I ever bought was 20 of the saladeen Jeters, but usually 5 packs. I’m glad that right at the peak of hype lots of people buying 100+ of the Keith Griffey’s got punched in the mouth, the trajectory was just too nuts.

Autos are getting a little out of hand, but I do really like the “companion” cards and would like to get 1 from each artist if possible. So far I have Saladeen’s moneybear, Keith’s H&S, and JK5’s Mariano although that one seems like it’ll be more than 1. I haven’t pony’d up for Beck’s because at those high prices I need it to be a card I want to keep not risk a flip on a $500+ Brett or Mays I don’t care about.

Same here on the Tyson Beck autos.
By the time his Ichiro comes out, hopefully the market for his autos will be down a bit reflecting the market of his base cards, so that I can buy one then.

Looking forward to this week, expecting print runs in the 30k range, and hopefully a stabilization of secondary pricing back to where it was pre MDW boom/bust.
