Default Top 10 Michael Jordan Gold Cards

We live in an era where gold cards and parallels are king. What are the Top 10 MJ Gold Cards?

*RULES: the cards must be playing day and must contain GOLD in their official product release title/name. You cannot rename cards as “gold” in order to include them in the list (e.g., Molten Metal Fusion Titanium /40 “MMF Gold” and 1998 PMG /50 “PMG Gold” are not eligible).

Here is my opinion of the Top 10:
1. 1997 Gold Embossed Refractor /74
2. 1998 Sign of the Times Gold Auto
3. 1998 Starquest Gold /100
4. 2002 Finest Gold Refractor /25
5. 1997 Ultra Stars Gold
6. 1996 Finest Gold Refractor
7. 1998 UD Forces Gold /25
8. 1998 UD Aerodynamics Gold /25
9. 2002 Topps Pristine Gold Refractor /50
10. 1997 Finest Gold Refractor /289

Did I miss any? Thoughts and opinions?

PS: I am looking to buy or trade for #7 and #8 in case anyone has either available. Please DM me if you do. Thanks.

Best,
Michael

Thanks.

One other set that has come to mind is 1997-98 SPX. How rare is the "gold" die cut parallel? Seems like there are around 100 graded between BGS and PSA so I don't think it can be that rare. Does anyone know the estimated print run or pack odds for that card? Also, my working assumption is that the /50 parallel from that set is officially referred to as "Grand Finale" and not gold, is that correct? If anyone can confirm the details about this set I'd appreciate it. It is new to me and I don't know much about it.

Thanks. Just not very familiar with the card and wonder how rare it is.

Here are a few others that probably also deserve consideration: 1998 UD Intensity Gold /25, 1998 UD Super Powers Quantum Gold /50, and 2002 Pristine Gold Refractor /99.

Does 1999 Hologrfx Holofame Au-some count? Amazing card in hand.

Good idea. I’ll add pics in the coming days once the list is more solidified.

How about some love for the lower end? 1994-95 Collector's Choice Gold Signature. REALLY tough to hit, very hard to photograph, and beautiful in-hand! This one's not mine, but I have one (just too lazy to dig it out.)

I actually love that card too and think it’s very undervalued. I considered it. But tried to stay objective by sticking to what I think current market values are. That said, a PSA 10 of the 94 CC Gold Sig recently sold for quite a bit...

By your own criteria, you should remove 1996 Finest refractor. Which is not labeled as “Gold” refractor.

It’s just the 1996 Finest refractor.

The “G” stands for Gold.

And here is a pic of the sealed product itself. It’s a gold card.

Jordans very first topps gold card needs to be considered. Much like the first finest refractor.

I can't see where you're asking for scarcity.

Iconic is a big deal and that card is up there.

But if it's all about the dollar value than I guess it's out.

This is low end? Wow, I'd take this over many a 'high end' card especially those that they pump out nowaday. Simply sensational! I think it might be my fav MJ and to me this card is iconic.

Thanks.

Bumping this thread for any final thoughts and suggestions. I'll plan to add photos along with a Top 15 or 20 list later this week.
