I feel kinda bad for the artists that have released their Trout cards already.
They didn't have the privilege of people chasing for these Trout autos to hype up their print run.
If the print run had been higher with people chasing the autos, that means the artists would have gotten more commission (10% or whatever it is) on their end too.
Not that I would expect Ermsy Trout to have sold 10,000 copies if this was the case, but could have made a difference.

I wonder if "every Mike Trout card"s going forward done by other artists will also have 10 copies of random autos.

I don't know if the PR will blow past 100k. It reach that level because hoards of people (me included) where buying 10 packs. That isnt going to be the case. A majority will be buying a single or the package deal.

Getting players involved should be seen as a good thing. Wonder if any of the living players being represented in this set have any thoughts about the cards?

well I didn't really plan on buying today's cards, but that one in 200k chance of hitting the Trout auto has me debating it.

Baller probably doesnt care. His card would look sweet with a gold Trout auto though.

Will actually buy from a preseller and not Topps for Trout for the first time this release. A) I'm not getting the auto no matter what anyways B) the print run will be stupid propped up and I don't see them being $25+ cards down the line. So I'll save a few bucks on a single rather than being stuck with 9 I have to sell at breakeven or a loss.

Yah the trout Ermsy was iconic and shot up- but the shore gibson price just a few days after release was REALLY when everyone jumped on.
