This is insanity. Team Justice, Freedom, and Equality is trying to make a special set of rules. No one who has any sense is buying this BS. I was politically apathetic three months ago. Then I had to stay inside to keep the immunocompromised and elderly safe. And I did. And now... THIS cause that is built on emotion and opinion and not facts nor data is the one we are sacrificing those same immunocompromised and elderly for. This is blatantly disingenuous.

Got to love the mayor of DC having #StayAtHomeDC as her Twitter name up until last night whole tweeting pictures of herself at protests without even wearing a mask...

I don't care if people protest or even went out and socialized when the state and/or country was supposed to be closed down. However don't be hypocritical.

It seems like these pro-social distancing, pro shut it down ASAP, anti- GOP Karens feel like COVID was like the plague of the death to the first male newborn in the Ten Commandments movie yet Moses and Joshua came and wiped goat's blood on their doorposts overnight so that the angel of death avoided them during the protests on social injustice
I don’t know anyone that has attended a recent rally - either of the BLM or open up the state variety. I know no one that refuses to wear masks in public. My circle of acquaintances is superior.

I know quite a few black individuals that throw in the color of skin unnecessarily when telling stories / making statements (ie "this white MFer" "so this white dude..")

Nobody bats an eye. Nobody says a word about who cares if the person is white

Now, if the white word was replaced with black and said by white person then either one of two things happens
1) the word black is whispered lol

or if it isn't whispered
2) rest of the group feels uncomfortable because it's taboo

Going to be a fascinating election cycle with everything going on. Trump has to hope the polling is more incorrect than last time. Possible but historically unlikely. Somehow Biden continues to poll higher than Clinton at the top end - much closer to the 50% mark and Trump continues to struggles to avg 45%. Good news for Trump, still a fair amount of undecided voters.

NC,

You might be right BUT he won the hearts of many from outside NY state with his neat power points and clam demeanor.

Locals and in state folks might see his past blunders but if you not from the area, you only know him as the guy with the power points that also has fun with his Fredo brother on tv

I think that instead of de-funding the police, we should throw more money at them. It's what we do with all of the programs that are failing. More money for drug control, more money for education, more money for the war on poverty. It works. That is the solution.

I like it. Sound.

Hope corporate America starts making donations to the police. That'll be a fun time.

Another retired US General denounces Trump due to “not being an effective president” and “lying all the time,” starting with his first day in office about the size of the crowd at his inauguration.

Powell 'cannot in any way support' Trump, will vote for Biden

https://thehill.com/homenews/sunday-...vote-for-biden

In the last week, several retired US Generals, prominent GOP politicians, and former POTUS have spoken up against Trump and his ineffective leadership.

Think of all the US families he hurt with his lie of the inauguration crowd sizes. I think we should dedicate a U.S. holiday to memorialize the lives lost from this senseless, senseless violence.

I didn't think there was any way possible of you topping your previous worst post but you have, Powell endorsed and voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012 and for Hillary in 2016.

TheHeel: I tried to start the conversation. Instead you’re choosing to post these abstract articles about how Trump is a bad guy. This isn’t an effective strategy to get anyone to vote Democrat. No one with a spine is looking to elect a president for moral guidance.

I told myself I’d never vote. It’s a sham. Same outcome no matter who wins. Then I saw recently how the Democratic Party is destroying this country with their manipulation of public opinion and blatant hypocrisy. It’s been eye opening to say the least.

5 months is a long time.

The state of the nation can change drastically in any direction in these next 5 months.

If the last 3 months are any indication, fasten those seatbelts for the next 5.

Antifa-BLM protester shoots driver. I imagine this won’t get much media coverage.

The conversation about the hypocrisy of the Democratic Party in regard to protests and freedom, the media manipulation of public perception, and how these narratives based on lies are destroying cities and hurting innocent civilians of all backgrounds? This is all fairly recent, but if I missed the scheduled time, my bad. I never knew a conversation about democracy had an expiration date.

Some positive momentum for police reform:

- In New York, police disciplinary records are not public. There is push to change this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/su...ds/ar-BB158u2t

- In Colorado, reform to mandate body cams and ban chokeholds: https://www.cpr.org/2020/06/03/color...-transparency/

- Minneapolis is reviewing 10 years of police records to look for patterns of racial discrimination: https://m.startribune.com/minneapoli...ice/571032682/

There is tons of this stuff out there. It should result in more transparency and less leniency with cops who have been disciplined for excessive force.
