Here’s my best Kobe. Pulled it last year out of a cello from Wal-Mart. Pink auto out of 25

My first Kobe auto! It was in a one touch with Panini sticker that had been partially lifted, terrible pictures, and looked like it had some chipping/marks on the card. Took a chance and bought it anyway since I really wanted an on-card auto from one of my favorite players.

Made the decision to open the case and all the crap on the card cleaned off! Checklist also shows these were a /75 redemption, so pretty rare too! Super happy.

Vacation mail and pickups part 1:
Filled some 1990s holes. I really need to update my group pictures, I had not taken any since 2018. (old one posted below)

Agreed. I was relieved to see that the condition of the card was better than I thought.

Question for die hard Kobe fans.

Budget is $4500-$5500'ish. Considering his tragic passing, in terms of display and investment.

A 3 Color Patch/Auto or
or a large Panini signed Photo?

I just felt like posting the best card my father ever hit. He collected all his life and passed away in 2017. Just wanted to show off this for him. Even though I have now it will always be his.

Thanks. I remember he pulled the redemption at Christmas when we all would buy him boxes from the local card store to open. He also hit a Priest Holmes redemption auto out of Sweet Spot box the same day. Was a darn good Christmas!

Priest! His stuff was hot back in the day (my dad and I got a ton of him in our Collectors Edge breaks). I'm a sucker for those old school UD wood autos. Definitely an awesome momento to remember him by.

Auctions like this make me believe there's still a lot of undervalued Kobe stuff out there. You got base 2002 & 2003 Finest Refractors numbered to 250 fetching the same price or more and that's not right.
