If NOIR FOTL with a trash framed extra can fetch $1500, then these should do very well on the secondary.

I snagged one at that price but had to pay taxes...and still feel pretty good. I'd be sitting pretty happy if I were in your shoes.

People in this thread were pumping because they did not want to pay for a product that bottomed out far below their entry price.

You're greatly underestimating those sneaker autos and the large segment of foot fetish bois in the hobby.

Otherwise, I kind of agree.

Look at what the "garbage" products people don't talk about and crap on go for compared to ones they do talk about. This would have sold for $700 if not for this thread. This is why no one should talk about these until after sellout.

Grats.

Honestly I typically don't even waste my time buying unless I can secure decent quantity or the buy in is so unreasonably high (ie, NT FOTL) that the potential risk to reward ratio also scales up massively.

Wanted to get 4 more once it hit 7xx but screwed myself, as usual.

I agree. The bonus patch auto /39 or /3 for these boxes is going to be better than the best card in most Noir boxes.

Spectra and Mosaic FOTL were my 2 biggest sleepers of the year for FOTL. Coronavirus delaying them and blowout members pumping them increased the sellout price by a ton on both. If both these came out when they originally were supposed to both would have easily gone under $600 a box.

That being said, I think this bonus card is a lot bigger than people think. Hobby has been selling $700-$800. A site had hobby for $650 the other day and it sold out in hours. One sold on ebay for almost $900 yesterday. This bonus card says jersey but every picture shows patch. The bonus card to me makes these boxes a big winner.

I hear ya, all in good fun. Well, now you can put that $3k to use elsewhere I guess

You're not making any sense. Why would these go for any less than regular hobby is?

I agree that the prices are crazy, but its not hard to figure out what these are going to end at. You're giving yourself and the board way too much credit, it's not rocket science...

For every drop under $800 I'd have bought 4 boxes and then under $700 would have bought as many boxes as I could buy. I'd have maxed out every credit card. This is going to be like Mosaic. Both were dogs for years. Now everyone loves Mosaic. Spectra looked like junk for years. This is the best Spectra has ever looked. Bigger patch windows, vertical patch autos, guaranteed rookie patch auto /39 or /3, color blasts. I'd have been thrilled to end up with $20k+ of this.

I'm normally not on the "BO people made it go higher"...but when 10% of the product or so was bought here, it definitively affected price.

How many people are planning to rip? And for the flippers/holders, how much do you need net (BO bounty) to sell?

I knew it would happen which is why I bought earlier than I wanted to. I've learned my lesson. Everything pumped in this forum goes higher. The ones that haven't been pumped I've been able to wait and get a bunch on. Sometimes multiple cases. The pump threads I have to overpay if I want it. I really wanted Spectra.

Same I don't regret getting it at this price point and feel completely neutral about this purchase. Considering this FOTL comes with a rookie auto jersey that looks pretty good. The other FOTL products (Select orange pulsar, Noir gold frame, Mosaic swirls, etc.) just don't have the same appeal.

The on-card RPA's are what sold me.

Absolutely despise the look of sticker on chrome. Color blast was just the icing on the cake.

And yeah...pretty pissed I didn't get some 7xx hoarding in...but such is vida.

It is rocket science for some people. You think snearbois or bots know all the info provided in this thread beforehand? Highly doubt it. You think they knew 1 box of Spectra sold for 880 yesterday? Not that one box is an guarantee of the value but the listing didn't even have 100 watchers. There haven't been presale prices on most sites for the most part recently. But people saying oh presale prices are 700-800 you think people reading that are gonna let this FOTL product with a rookie patch auto sell for under that?

I think these will be a hit with the gb's. On card RPA + color blasts + last year's base parallels selling well (check Luka prices). The initial wave of singles sales should be stronk.

Lol literally over 50% of Optic Premium boxes were bought here and every member tells me it didn't affect the sellout price. It affected it multiple hundred dollars a box. If 50% of one group buys something how does it not affect price?

I think this years patch autos are way more valuable/collectible than last years. They look way better, bigger patch window, and vertical.

Not even a question. Was referring to the bass numbered cards though. They're fetching pretty ridiculous numbers for Luka. Zion and Ja should be pretty big.
