Default BIG thanks to lietuvalabas!!

Bit of a story here....
One dusty old day after work I check ebay for Garnett cards as I always do and BANG!!!
A card I have always wanted is up 21/xxx! The BIN is decent but maybe a little high. I ponder my finances and think about what to do - I show my mate Ev - "Check this!!! What should I offer!"
"I dunno but its beautiful."

I don't have any paypal so I ponder the discussion with Mrs ljandkg when it lands on the credit card and then decide screw it - I've always loved this card, I'll have a dig and deal with the argument later!!!

Nek minnut it's GONE!

SOLD.

I'm gutted.....
I try to think you win some you lose some, but I'm kinda bummed the rest of the day.....I shoulda just hit the BIN maybe...who knows...

Anyway a couple of weeks later I get a message from lietuvalabas here. "Got something for you, shoot me your address."
I offer to pay for whatever it is but he'll have none of it.

Cos it's been a while I have no idea what it is until it shows up at Shipmycards.

Then finally, MONTHS later cos of Covid 19 I get it sent to me.

In hand it is truly beautiful Nick. I dunno why but I've always loved this design. There is a black /25 version that is nasty too!!

Thank you so much for grabbing this quick and sending it to me for nothing.

I owe you one.

Even the back is cool!

Great story and gesture!!! Beautiful card.

I have a partner approved budget and If I go over one month I just make it up the next month by going under budget. Helps so I don’t have to get S.O. Approval each time, which helps when time is of the essence.

Jeez finances must be tight to have to budget a card /199... I don't have kids though.

I also don't tell my Mrs what I do.... Which is very lucky considering the $1085 cost in IMPORT FEES & GST I was just notified about....

I have 4 and they keep me very careful with money. I'm trying to 'invest' to help out, but it doesn't come naturally.
Anyone know a good tool to help me?

Thanks for the messages folks.

Just echoing what everyone else said: Very nice gesture by lietuvalabas. And congratulations to you for getting that card.

I can think of several but I don't think you'd get away with it no matter which one you used.

Oh, maybe you're not talking about.... Nevermind...

Glad you got it finally man haha. Bowman Sterling is friggin gorgeous, unfortunately it was way too rookie focused.

Thanks for the kind words guys, what this guy has done with jersey #ed cards of a single player is staggering

Awesome stuff. There are certain people in the hobby that have superb hunting skills on eBay. Lietuvalabas is ONE of the BEST. Awesome to see collectors helping cards land where they belong! LOVE IT!
