With WNBA prizm releasing next month how well do you think it will sell? I am excited about the release and am a liberty fan so I’ll be collecting Ionescu. What do you think her autos and other player autos will sell for?

The price seems steep to me and I hope it drops like the Donruss did.

I’m keen to get some Diggins-Smith for the collection.

It’s still WNBA so it still won’t be worth the price it’s currently being sold for. Just look at Taurasi and all the big stars and current value, WNBA just never holds value and I don’t see why this will change even with Prizm and Ionescu

Until there are more women in the card hobby these cards will hold as much value as WWE cards. They really need to target younger females and draw them in to the hobby. I have a 10 year old niece who is the best soccer player in the city she lives in, regardless of gender. She is starting to collect female sports cards, but besides a few players they quickly lose their value. For presents I get her auto's of her favorite players from ebay. Hopefully she continues to collect!

Just lower the rims to 8’ maybe 9’ already. It would make the game more exciting. Why do they force them to play on the men’s rims using women’s balls?

No, just no.

But lowering the rim to 9’ would be a game changer. They shouldn’t be expected to be on an equal playing field. I mean don’t they use a 28.5 inch ball compared to a 29.5 inch ball. Why don’t they use the same ball? Some of the girls can shoot but the lack of athleticism is what separates the two.

The WNBA is a beautiful game. Don’t get me wrong I love the NBA, but the WNBA is such PURE basketball and quite beautiful. The flow of the game and the lack of ego is perfection. I’m a huge NBA fan and always had doubts about the women’s game, but if you really watch it you can really see the beauty of it and the true fans of the game can see it.

They use a different size ball, and 3 point line.

And play zone.

Also, they are shorter. It would make sense..

Agree 100%. My brother and I have had season tix for the Minnesota Lynx for nine years now.

I’m not sure physical size is the distinguishing factor.
Talent and skill are very different

They are talented. But the skill level is not comparable

I am very excited for this release. Think it will be the first WNBA release that actually sells pretty well (e.g., Ionescu Gold for $1000+, Ionescu Silver for $30+). I'm not confident enough to buy a full case early, but I will probably buy a couple boxes and try to build a base set. If Maya Moore is in the base set it will push me to buy more.
