If you truly believe covid is no more dangerous than the common flu there is no further need for discussion here.

and loss of taste/smell is the least of my worries. Lung scarring is.

where in any part of my post did say I was going to wear a mask for many years? And where did I say long term is multiple years? what's multiple years in your opinion 5,10, 20, 30?

keep arguing rman: you seem to delight in semantics.

Another misrepresentation. I posted it in big letters and everything but I'm gonna try one more time and I need you to understand I speak of the under 40 crowd when I say this.

So I'm going to be like rman here:

are you saying it's not dangerous at all?
a little dangerous?
maybe medium dangerous?

just how dangerous is it?

EDIT: I just looked at your original post regarding this: I do not see any reference to the 40 and under crowd.

He couldn't be any clearer with his words. Not sure which of them you aren't seeing.

As dangerous as choking on food. That's how dangerous it is for the under 40 crowd. About the same number of people die every year from that under 40 as they will in 2020 from COVID on current projections.

So be careful. Don't forget to chew.

Probably on the low end I'd think. But that doesn't mean they don't get it and pass it to others. Parents, grandparent, teachers, other school employees. These people aren't kids and lucky enough to fall in the "not dangerous to" category.

Ugh..

'There is way too much we don't know about the long term effects of covid'

'until more is known about covid, I will be wearing a mask.'

So using your own rationale .. Unless you're arguing AGAINST 'long term effects' taking years, maybe generations to find out .. why would you NOT wear a mask for years? Why would you NOT tell your kids to wear a mask for years? Why would you NOT tell their kids to wear a mask for years?

Because again, this is about the 'long term effects of covid'. Which we won't know.. until the long term.

How much of what you post do you actually thoroughly think through?

Probably about as much as Trump does.

I apologize for that, but it was just too tempting. And no offense towards you blackbear.

Long term effects could just be it.
I'm gonna blow everybody's FREAKING minds now:

We're now hearing about the possible (unproven) long-term effects of COVID-19 ...

... but we're not allowed to talk about the possible (unproven) long-term effects of vaccines.

Yeah, I said it.

Notice they don't mention the color of the shooters. That part of their description is strangely omitted.

I'm sure that vaccination, when made available, will be on the list of required shots in order to attend school. I'm positive it will be in NY.

I'm going to show how kind I am to everyone by politely declining the vial with my name on it. Decline my children's as well.

But the latter is a pipe dream. The second schools make it mandatory, which they will ... you can pump my kids with whatever drugs you want. GET THEM THE *@#&! OUT OF THIS HOUSE!

God I love my kids.

I don't think you're in the minority (am I allowed to use that word without being a racist) in this thinking. I'm not sure what the step beyond "burned out" is, but most parents are there at this point

Man Trump is just really getting after it on twitter, follow his dumb comments about Bubba Wallace with dumb comments in regards to sports team names.

The conspiracy theorists that think he's trying to self sabotage himself in the election must be having a field day.

For as immoral a man (and as moronic a man) as Trump, he does excel in certain areas and this is one of them.

My favorite part of what he says is listening to his press secretary tell us "what he meant to say."

That job has to be a nightmare.
