I had no idea it was going to increase in value so quickly over the coming months. It’s already one of my favorites in my portfolio. I know it’s not a PSA 10, but I really am a fan of the quad 9.5 subgrades!

Nice pickups! That courtside Luka is awesome!

You really add no value to the discussion with these posts. Tell us why you think this bubble is going to pop shortly. Clearly the demand is there (and growing) to fill the supply now. You have a very "holier than thou" attitude and provide absolutely nothing tangible to back it up.

The problem is no one is buying to "collect"... Everyone is buying to dump in the coming months. I'm a mathematician by profession. I see this type of speculation all the time in the stock market. This is an easy read. What happens when Prizm base hits a price that the smart money is happy to dump at?.... supply overload. This is a classic case of "The Greater Fool Theory"... eventually you get to a point where no one is willing to pay the latest price. Market reverses and the 12,000 PSA 10 copies of prizm get listed at a rapid fire rate.

Bitcoin in Dec 2017 was $20,000/coin... sellers were charging you 5% premium on top of the spot price to dump bitcoin. By December 2018... bitcoin was trading at $3,300... People were begging you to buy. Market cycle.

Ohhhh trust me. I have the tangible $h*t to back it up. I guarantee you that. Don't take me being private/humble as weakness. Don't do that lol

Cards are not bitcoin. I know we literally just discussed this in the junk wax era thread, but still it needs to be reiterated. Maybe because you’re a mathematician you fail to see all of the intangibles that go along with the value of cards.

I compare mass produced base to 2017 Bitcoin because of the "Mania Stage" of speculation. It's only going higher.. Buy Buy Buy. The fundamentals don't work that way. It's unsustainable. Everyone has the same goal... get rich quick. When supply dumps... It's going to be a bloodbath. I've seen this many times over the years. This is a classic case of "The Greater Fool Theory"

If you don't post the tangible stuff you just come off as an annoying Nostradamus.

Yeah, you've showed that photo multiple times on here. It doesn't explain your views about the current market.

Isn't that the vibe of most of the people on this forum?

In terms of high pop vs low pop - I think the winning strategy is to have a bit of both - high pop / easily movable Lukas AND low pop / more obscure Lukas. I'm slowly moving the high pop stuff for more rare stuff i.e. I've sold/traded a few unnumbered Optic Lukas for numbered Revolution/Chronicles stuff.

Still holding a few Optic Lukas because I'm in the camp that one day (maybe many years away) the 18-19 Optic set will be more sought after than the 18-19 Prizm set.

What’s funny is that this troll is preaching to the choir here. I think most people who post regularly on the board and in this thread know exactly how to successfully ride the waves of the hobby. My boxes aren’t full of base. I use base as an ends to a mean. Buy raw, grade, sell, buy bigger cards. If I feel a certain base set or card is very undervalued, I will hold. Otherwise it’s a quick flip.
