Don't buy him then. I know I am. I'll take the risk that his value skyrockets with zion lol. You think his younger brother is going to be better? I don't...

It's insane how many of these pop-up over the night guys on youtube claiming to be gurus. The PSA collector dude is a knob too. Clueless yet, the sheep are following the recommended advise from these guys.

I do pay attention to what these guys (Gary V. included) advise their investors to buy! I watch as the sheep buy up all the hot stocks err I mean cards and then I proceed to list those cards when the price triples overnight.

I still want to thank Gary V tipping off his sheeple on 2015 Prizm Devin Booker. I sold a few 10's that tripled overnight.

I'm still torn when this massive modern card bubble will burst? My guess is 2 years. Should be interesting to see where we are at in a couple years.

I also watch plenty of film on him very crafty with the ball, can get to every spot on the floor, he knows how to use different angles and speed in spits to get his shot, very high basketball IQ for age running the PG spot at his age for the Portland offense. He needs more weight and no how to take better shots of the screens and picks. Lillard and CJ told management don't trade him when they had offers. CJ talked about him in his podcast how him and lillard is training him. This is what I heard about Anfernee Simions.

His “Top 5 Cards Going Up” videos should be helpful to let EBay sellers know which sports cards they will be getting return requests on a month from now when the prices go down..for reasons like “scratched case” and “my son bought by accident.”

Is he ever going to make the video he promised that addresses the issues around the 1986 Fleer Jordan he owns and trimmed cards?

I also bought Simons stuff real early and cheap not trying to pump him. You can check out my early post about him last year. I'm actually kinda mad people brought up his stuff and made his prices way to high his stuff

Lol, absolutely. Flippers selling to other flippers is all it is. Once it hits the peak there will be some looking to get out the "easy" way.

Doubtful. He came on here and asked if anyone would come on his show and talk about it. Nobody responded as i'm sure no one wants to be associated with that dude. He was given all the relevant info though, and if he just wanted to talk about trimming that info is all over this forum.

My guess is we'll never see that episode.

I like watching his videos for entertainment - not "investment" advice.

"The Greater Fool Theory"

The great fool sells to the greater fool... The greater fool sells to a greater fool... The greater fool sells to the GREATEST fool... The greatest fool can't find anyone to sell to for a higher price. SUPPLY increases dramatically as everyone tries to cash out while prices are high... Not enough buyers to keep prices up... BOOOOOOOM. Bubble pops. Rapid fire selling at lower and lower prices. This is economics 101.

I do think he could be good with Zion I just think that is already built in to his price but who knows?

I wish you the best of luck!

I think the same thing about youtuber card investors, some of them are like watching b-movies, cringey entertainment, not their intention

I watch only to know what not to buy in general. Same with garyV, always zag his zig.

TBH, you can make money off both of them, it is just not ethical in my book. Can't do it, won't do it.

Haha - well, the Sports Card Investor channel is pretty high quality for a home made channel.

It's fun to watch - sometimes I look into what he's (they're) saying just to find out for myself what's a good buy.

I definitely don't mind when they pump up some cards that I have that I have no attachment to.

The guy does work in the tech industry so he uses that to his advantage. Production value doesn't always mean the content is sound.

Let me know when it's time to unload Chuma.

Spot on.

Poole being pumped => content isn't sound.

I follow all of these guys for one reason and one reason only. Whatever they are "buying", Im selling! Made a ton over the past year of selling to their followers.

Nobody - I don't care if you're Warren Buffett or Jimmy Buffett - Nobody knows if the cards going to go up, down, sideways, or in f'ing circles, least of all these guys. It's all a Fugazzi.

100% agree with this. There are some that just ramble nonsense for minutes, can't correctly pronounce the players and routinely struggle to open packages. But yet I watch some anyways.

I've seen his stuff before but seems to be mixed in with all his other crap, does he have a single source for his sports card content or is it just randomly inserted into his instagram?

Yep lol, it's just an odd thing to witness, you're like, what the hell is this person talking about. They make a video one week saying they're new to collecting basketball or just got into sports cards and then a month later telling people what the best 5 undervalued investment cards are

Is there an account that does a parody of card investors? If not someone can make a lot of money doing this. Mispronouncing names, investing in scrubs, pumping mass produced cards, dumping rare cards, etc.

If one of you makes it big from this idea, I'll take 5% of earnings.....

All is good when our $0.25 cards instantly become $5-$10 cards.

They said it was impossible to get something from nothing but I'm getting "free" lunches thanks to SCI!

Looking forward to the Chuma and Ivan Rabb pumps.

I thought about it but then I got too much going on in my life right now lol. I didn't see exactly this but maybe like 6 years ago I saw some guy open a fake box of Exquisite and inside were like 90's donruss baseball cards, it was a pretty funny video.

Some of SCI’s older videos do seem like parody if you rewatch them. He posted a video just over two months ago (5/12) talking about “investing” in 1987 Topps Mark McGwire PSA 10. If you look on eBay at the Tiffany...it went from a card selling for about $300....to almost $900...and has dropped back to just a hair over $350 this week. He also talked about the 1990 Leaf Sammy Sosa PSA 10 that episode which I’m shocked to find out has also sank like a rock since his “investment” video on them.
