I heard of other mc members trying to increase the QTY to 4 or more but the system then displayed message that the maximum was 3. I didn't try it, nor did I try to do a second order on the same day to see if that was possible...didn't want to mess with it, get the first order cancelled and/or get banned. Just seems greedy to try to circumvent the rules.

I’m still thinking about the raffle and where I stand on it. I’ll have more to say on the matter in the coming days. But, until that time comes I’ll post the tl;dr version now. The raffle is a terrible idea that will disillusion so many people in the community it isn’t even funny. That being said, it’s better than it being first come, first serve. It addresses the issues of bots, but making the chances of you getting product at SRP luck based is a terrible business strategy.

I am glad to see this. I know people are gonna do what they're gonna do to try to get an advantage, and cutting the bots (at least in their previous form) out is a good first step. But there's already been multiple people in here talking about their 5, 10, I've seen 30+ accounts entered into the raffle mentioned. And it's just like, really? As someone who followed the rules and entered once, all I want is a fair chance. I think the raffle is a good first step, still open to abuse for sure as we've already seen, but maybe if Topps can enforce it right, it'll discourage people from trying to game the system

"we are in the process of cancelling orders and banning accounts for customers who didn't adhere to the terms and conditions."

Pretty straightforward.

So we'll see if that means boxes did in fact open up and there will be another wave of raffles at a time to be determined. If I get any other info, I'll certainly share.

Typically when you win a raffle you're guaranteed the item for an allotted time. Topps could've used better verbiage to let us know it's FCFS till the box was OOS.

Like you said, its much better than the first come first serve with bots crashing the site. I had zero chance at the bowman first, could load the site all three days, so much frustration and wasted time. I think the raffle idea is much better than that. ITs not perfect for sure, but its better. If you have a better idea, suggest it to them.

This is the problem. ITs not about collecting, its about making money for so many. I think with the raffle that more boxes actually made it to the hands of actual collectors.

Opportunity is about the only word that can be used in the situation. They are not going to say, "You now have the right to purchase." or "We command you to purchase 2 boxes now."

Seeing as how it hasn't even been 20 hours since I received the email, I don't think anyone has waited "47 hours" to buy. I waited 5, and they were gone. Not much I can do about it now, and am not going to keep complaining about it, but to act like people are in the wrong for not immediately buying because they interpreted the wording differently than someone else is short-sighted.

It’s funny because I was able to get 1st edition all three days. First two days it took awhile, and a lot of patience. The 3rd day was easier. Bowman Sapphire was the impossible one for me. I could never get it to load into my cart. Where I’m coming from is, it’s luck based and even if you create 20 accounts, to better your odds, theres still no guarantees.

I’m pointing out the fact that there are going to be people who are going to sign up for these raffles and maybe never get chosen. Never. How are those people supposed to feel?

Yes, it’s better than first come, first serve in a bot world, but the raffle cannot be the idea moving forward.
