I wanted in on the E-X. Was thinking $6-7k when it opened. But when Finest went above $10k pretty quick, I knew E-X was going to get there. That card is still crazy cheap considering that trash Topps card is $5k+ now.

I threw a wishful bid of $8500 in on the EX. I had the opportunity to grab one for $9000 just a couple weeks ago, but I wavered for a few hours during a back and forth Facebook exchange with seller, and the seller decided to pull it off ebay. He's a good guy, and pulling it was a good decision by him. It was a poor decision by me, though. Live and learn, I guess.

I’ve got a BGS 9.5 with an old label for $3.7K last week, but I wanted a PSA 10 as well, although I don’t think that there is a $6.5K difference between the two.

I am not rooting against anyone here. Even if I were, the LeChrome crowd is still raking it in. It does make me a little happy to see the Finest pass it up last night. Got to be good news for those holding the LE/Finite/Glass/Inspirations. EX should pass it too eventually.

There are a lot of really great LeBron RCs that are worth less than Topps White Suit.

PSA/BGS 10 LeBron RC listings (of the desired stuff) are too expensive for me, I only look at them to see how high they go now lol

I kind of understand. The Trout RC re-wrote the rules for paper Topps values.

Now that thing has blasted the Trout RC out of the water. If just collecting cards because you like them, not INVESTing, I can't for the life of me figure why someone would want that thing over some of the UD options.

It is ugly. It is cheaply made. There are so many of them. Can't figure it. Every other day though someone posts about wanting to buy that card so I am in the vast minority.

Re-read through the entire thread, it's crazy to see how much has changed for LeBron (and the market as a whole) cards.

The cards that I had on my list to buy since pre-COVID-19, and have not purchased yet, most likely aren't going to be added to my collection now due to price.

The one everyone loves to hate, the UD Standing O!, a manicured PSA 10 appears to have sold for $1,776. Never thought I'd see the day.

I still think the Lebron Topps 1st Editions are grossly underrated.

I own one that is tucked away in a safety deposit box not going anywhere, so not a pump, but look at the pop reports and market value compared to base topps

I love the Fleer Tradition Trio rookie myself, with Lebron, Carmelo, and Wade being all future HOF’s it really reminds me of the Bird/Magic/Erving RC, and it’s still extremely affordable.

Same here, I’m just glad I bought a handful before things really got nuts. Pre-COVID, I bought the UD Rookie Exclusives, UD Victory, UD Star Rookie, Fleer Premium, Bowman Chrome, and Topps Chrome. All raw, but all in good shape, I’d say PSA 8 or better for each of them. I probably paid around $1600 or so for all of these about 3-4 months ago. Seemed like a lot at the time, but the TC by itself now is getting close to doubling that total. However, there were a couple more I wanted to get that are now probably out of my price range forever.

Agreed. I just recently picked up a 1st Edition PSA 9 off ebay. The 1st Edition is way undervalued. The pop report has 2,376 PSA 9 for the base, and only 117 for the 1st Edition PSA 9.

I bought 2 Rookie Exclusives and the Fleer H2 for $27 total back in March. None would grade higher than an 8 probably, but in hindsight damn I wish I was more reckless with my money then.

That UD Victory is a tough one. I'd call it a smart buy, but I'm pretty stupid when it comes to these things. The really rare ones don't seem to move much.
