I think they'll specifically play in a way that packs the paint and forces us to shoot to win. My main concern is that Tobias Harris will choke in the playoffs. Can Alec Burks, Furkan Korkmaz, and Shake Milton make shots when they matter? I Know J rich can. Honestly, as a Sixers fan I know Furkan can! Tobias let me down in the playoffs last year from a shooting perspective, he's great in the regular season but he has to prove it to me in the playoffs. Same for Horford, imo.

I do think their 2nd unit has a pretty large edge over ours. Maybe that edge has lessened with these trades and Thybulle will play a large role but I have to see it to believe it. Even if our top end talent gets theirs, our 2nd unit could cost us. Once again, this is just a possibility not necessarily what I think will happen. I'd just rather fade them if possible.
Tobias has been shooting 39% from deep since the first month of the season. I'm not worried about him because he was like the 5th scoring option last year and couldn't get in a rhythm, versus being the #2/3 this year.

We know Shake and Furkan can shoot. Thybulle will be defending a lot for sure. And he can shoot a little, too.

Their 2nd unit has guys like: Powell, Ibaka, Davis, RHJ, McCaw.

We have Horford, Scott, Kork, Thybulle, Burks, GR3.

I mean, sure theirs could outplay ours but I could also see it the other way esp if Burks and Kork are hitting their shots and/or 'ANB' Scott. Horford would need to step it up but you can put Matisse on any of their guards. And it's not like Ibaka is some young guy gonna run rings around Horford like a Bam.

Our bench is so sooooooo much better than last year. No Greg Monroe or Ennis or Boban to have to rely on thankfully. We can mix and match with shooters or defenders or go small or big/athletic with Al, Scott, GR3, Thybulle.

You make a good point but with the break I am wondering if it will take Tobi out of that rhythm he had and we'll see him go back to his old self. He does seem more confident though, for sure.

Their 2nd unit has so much more playoff experience though! Those guys you just mentioned may not be better players in a vacuum but the chemistry/experience has shown to really matter in the playoffs. Their 2nd unit has that while ours is very new at playing together. I see that as a huge disadvantage. There's just something about playoff basketball and experience/chemistry together that our team hasn't been able to solidify yet. But you're right our bench has improved, and having the best rookie defender in years in Thybulle does help me sleep at night.

I think it'll be a tough series and if we win it, the sky is the limit.

it's so frustrating to have so much great young talent (Morant, Clarke, and usually JJJ) and solid pros like Jonas V and then run your offense through Dillon Brooks isos. Watching him clank 20 mid-range jumpers a game is excrutiating.

Being aggressive today... his touch at the rim just not there yet.

However, his went of a short run there in the second with some assists, a steal and a few rebounds that let them take control a bit.

I'm still so-so on what I'm seeing out of Philly so far this bubble.

This team is 0-4 in the bubble. Very well may go 0-8 unless
-OKC
-Toronto
-Boston
-Milwaukee

sit starters when they play. (My guess is the Bucks will)

Post ASG he's 47.4% on 1.9 attempts per game. It's not a fluke.

And he's 21, so his shot will only improve.

It took 6 seasons for JJ Redick to shoot better than Lonnie is shooting this year, at age 25 no less.

Consider yourself no longer ignorant of LW4's shooting ability. Because you clearly were before, like most people here I would imagine.

Look, his efficiency is fine, and I like his game and his form, but he's clearly not a "shooter". Efficiency vs Efficiency in Volume are completely different things, so don't start getting into semantics over "well he shoots a basketball above league average doesn't he", it's pretty obvious in the context of my original statement about the Spurs offense, that they're playing really well in the absence of having any lights-out shooters that defenses are concentrating on or forcing them up in volume.

I don't understand why you have to be such an arrogant ass about everything, especially in a case like this where you're taking a statement out of context just to try and "win" an internet argument. You should probably stop watching the opinion shows and lighten up

Good chance they won't even finish in the 8th spot....just not ready yet. Expected more from Clarke, but I guess there's a reason why he's a bench spark and not a starter.

Wheels falling off in Philly.

Down vs Washington. Simmons walks off the court with some kind of injury.

Fingers crossed its just a small ankle or hammy tweak and not the back again.

Yeahhh.... it could all come crashing down around Brown based on how serious this is.

He looked okay walking off but who knows of course.

At least we don't care about seeding. Just need him back.

Good to see Jojo take over.
