Zero national testing plan, zero plan, zero grasp on reality from this administration - all they wanted to do was blame.

REAL leaders make tough decisions for the betterment of the people who chose them to lead - Trump is the president and as such - myself and every damn other American expect him to do his job and LEAD.

No "what if's" anymore

The response to the virus has been an unmitigated disaster and isn't going away anytime soon. No college football - concerts gatherings. Why, not because anyone was a dem or republican but because WE did not have a leader!

Pretty sure our leader is backing getting things opened up like football but no we play fear and politics and shut it down

Yep, and when he wanted to lead, Democratic states wanted to do it on their own. So he let them.

No one said it is a hoax, no one.

The country shut down and the curve flatten. What else is he supposed to do?

I stand by the fact that he was saying that during the same time that the President was not taking it seriously as you say. He is supposed to rely on experts.

If you think that whatever plan Trump came up with was going to be followed by Democratic leadership in Feb/Mar, you are fooling yourself.

Even the most basic beginning block 'shut off China travel' was met with catcalls of racism and xenophobia. At that point, it should have been apparent that there was absolutely nothing that anyone was going to get on the same page with.

If you think that he could have issued mask orders, 4 week lock down, seal the borders and mass testing and the left would have said "Oh.. good job!", you are just being dishonest with yourself.

It's funny that people truly think there is an expert on a brand new virus. It's like taking a fan of college football, born and raised in rural Alabama, and putting him on TV as an analyst for the NHL. They know sports, but that doesn't mean they know every sport.

Same in the United States. Yea, there isn't a country as individualized, as ours is. It's called "Land of the Free" for a reason, getting 335 million Americans on the same page... never had a chance.

And the italicized is not based in reality. He just negotiated a peace deal in the Middle East. How does what you say make any sense?

You don't lock everyone in their houses. You make a non-partisan appeal to everyone and you have a plan. You want to hear a plan? How about in the beginning you stop allowing all flights into the country. Then you send out your stimulus so everyone can take a couple weeks to stock up on food for a month and then you lock it all down, essential workers included. The virus runs its course and you can set the stage for a reopen.

Sure, you'll have to have quarantine lodgings available when you reopen International travel, but we would be a lot further along than where we are now.

Some form of this is what it may ultimately take as suggested by Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank President Neel Kashkari.

Where are we now? Heading into the Fall and schools reopening and who knows what from here.

Also, humans have an emotional component which ideally develops into emotional intelligence. Not all emotion is negative. To justifying a counter view saying they're all just responding emotionally is suspect.

It's like denigrating the term liberal which has meanings like: open to new behavior or opinions and willing to discard traditional values; concerned mainly with broadening a person's general knowledge and experience, rather than with technical or professional training.

I mean, I wouldn't denigrate the term conservative. I actually agree with fiscal conservatism which used to be a fundamental tenant of the Republican Party. Not spending more than you make is a sane approach to life.

Trump isn't a Republican. He's a wanna be despot. If you want to give him free reign for the next 4 years because your 401k was going up, then good luck with that.

And last point, love the go to on the negotiated peace deal in the Middle East. Let's see where that's at in a year. I'm open to being pleasantly surprised.
