Same! He seems as real as they come. Those flippers are just bitchin.

107 and 108 from Topps today. I wouldn't say they're "catching up" yet but they're definitely getting there...

Snuck in my Wheeler purchase almost last minute on the Rochester Gibson. I really think when it is all said and done, Gibby might have one of the best looking runs of all.

Sorry for the last minute buy, Wheeler.

No problem at all! My wife who helps with the listings, with 2 minutes left, asked if she could change prices for the day. I asked her to be patient for just two more minutes as there's always a couple people that like to buy at the last second.

Glad she waited for you.

Debate about card interests and fandom gives me confidence this set has legs well beyond 2020.

I suspect that over the course of time folks will enjoy artist more and fall out of love with some which would promote a strong secondary market.

I think...

Yeah, I snuck in one just under the wire earlier this week because I decided last minute that I wanted it, but was in the middle of making lunch for the kids. I rarely wait that long, so I was glad it was still available at 11:59.

It’s posted as a response to James Cramphin’s post from about 2 hours ago. The response is a screen grab from Aaron Leistner. Happy hunting.

So should I just go ahead and try to pick up a Ermsy Trout now or wait? Added the Gooden and Ichiro over the last month.

I'd get it now or maybe give it 1 more week. Feel like a floor will start to develop every soon.

The card is dope, and what you are paying for IMO. I mean it’s not priced all that differently than Naturel or Ermsy, which come in bubble wrap. I’m a sucker for presentation boxes and swag, and while I’d appreciate them at some of the price points, they haven’t been deciding factors in purchases. Just comes back to, are you buying the box or the art? I suppose some people are buying both, but if you are, I’d clarify with the artist what the box is to make sure it meets expectations before ordering if it is not spelled out in a description.

The box is fine. Maybe not as nice looking as Thiele's or Saladeen's, but it fits his style. The problem was that he pictured it when it was being sold, unlike the others, and it got hyped up because the picture looked nicer than the delivered product. That was partially why I ended up buying two of them. I'm not worried about it at all, just pointing out why some were disappointed (me, at first), but the irrational people bashing on him are just plain wrong. The cards deliver, and am now looking forward to receiving his Trout companion.

I got #1 and #2 both delivered this week. I'd assume that you should get an email soon. I received both emails the day before they showed up at my door.

You're right; we agree a lot. In the cases where we don't, I can absolutely see why you chose the way you did. For example, I think the Shore Gibson is the jewel of his early cards and really speaks to Shore collectors. I really wanted someone to riff on the NNOF Thomas, so I really liked his effort there and, hence, why I think that's my favorite.

Exactly.

I'd rather the artist over deliver on the card than the box.

It looks like the card is better than advertised. I couldn't care less about the box, even though I too was/am excited to get both.
