It seems to me that instead of letting it trickle out like Mosaic, Panini took a shotgun approach and just did a one and done with distributors. Hence why so many people are reporting no more restocks. Also need to factor in how much is being funneled to the big 3.

Yeah certainly not on the scale that some were thinking. I guess the next few weeks will be pretty telling though

Look at how many youtube videos with Chronicles with team breaks. That is where they all went to. I never seen Mosaic die down on youtube, or eBay so we the public didn't get much because a lot of them. That is the reason I don't go hunting, I'll visit Walmart, but not going to do a roadtrip (actually never did a roadtrip- at most 2 Walmarts in 1 trip).

I can't speak for Target stockers, but I know for certain Walmart and Meijer stockers do not work for MJ or Excell. They are 3rd party, contract employees of a merchandising company. Walmart is Anderson merchandising. The stockers have no idea what is in their shipment until they see inside the box.

I'm not sure how one would know in advance how many reloads are planned unless they worked for Panini directly.

True, I may try here while visiting family this week on Friday. Luckily I told my sister to look over here last Friday on her day off and she was able to hit the motherload 😂. Rather than a measly cello pack of mosaic, havent found any basketball product since February. So I’m not going to go crazy looking for anymore until the next product.

I’ll have to ask my buddy if he hears of any chronicles being put out where I live this week. Like I stated earlier in this thread though, we checked out 4 places with the group of other people (rep stocks that day), first place had some but we got there too late, none at the second one, and the last two places boxes were opened and they were taken (probably workers of target and Fred Meyer)

Yes and I was extremely surprised. I missed out on Optic, Mosaic, everything but Prizm. All the Walmarts/Targets in or around my area are cleared

Every Target stock that I have seen has been done by an Excell employee. I can't speak for MJH at WM but I know sometimes the Excell employees will throw on a Target badge.

Excell is the distributor for Target and Anderson is the distributor for MJH. MJH is the national distributor that ships the product to each Walmart, but then the local distributor, the employee from Anderson, is the one responsible for opening the box and setting up the display.

Posts like this are pretty damm silly. I mean what are you even talking about? People reporting no more restocks?? It’s Monday for crying out loud! Everything you’re saying goes against logic entirely! First off why even bring up the big 3 comment if you have no evidence? All you’re doing is starting rumors. Also, why would panini produce less of chronicles if they saw what happened with mosaic? And finally, retail JUST released last week. This stuff will come out weekly for the next month or longer.

You either lack logic or lack experience in the hobby.

Sounds like a bunch got backdoored to the Big 3 or even panini kept some behind to sell on their site if this is true, still super early in the week we should know more by Thursday/Friday. Things don’t seem to add up if they aren’t restocking

what is the SRP for fat packs? seems like they're going for only $20 each now, at $1.33/card that's right up there with $40 hangers, no?

I've picked up a few blasters @$60 ($1.50/card), Megas @$200 ($2.00/card), but the little guys seem like better value unless they somehow produce a worse mix of cards. More paper / less parallels?

I must have struck a FOMO nerve there, wow. If multiple people reporting that their vendors are stating that restocks will be limited isn't enough to at least speculate, then I don't know what to tell you.

I give up. I’ve gone to 5 Wal-Marts and 6 Targets in Queens and Long Island (at least a couple times for most of them) and the only sports cards I’ve ever seen are NASCAR. I’m not wasting any more time looking for retail cards. It’s just not worth it.

I almost wish I had never looked for them to begin with because now I’m just frustrated with the hobby (started collecting again after 20+ years out). I’ll buy some packs online to open with my son but it sucks that he won’t be able to just walk into a store and run to the card aisle like I used to as a kid.

For what it’s worth, the Targets in Long Island are now limiting sports card purchases to 2 per person.

Got a box on eBay for $60 which is about the lowest I’ve been able to jump on, I think I’ll just stick with these two boxes I won off eBay for now, depending on how prevalent the restocks are I figured I would win a few before value goes up. Maybe now that I have some I’ll get lucky and wander into Walmart or Target at the right time!
