Default Chris Davis: buy, sell, hold?

His card prices have slowly been increasing in price, especially the 07 Elite Extra Edition autographs. I was lucky enough to pick some up with 30% cash back for about $30 after the rebate. Prices have been climbing and recently base autos /374 has been selling for around $100. What is everyone's opinion on buy, sell, hold. I've been trying to pick some more up and looked at a couple graded 9.5 autos, but they went for more than I thought. He is projected to hit around 30+ HR, 100+ RBIs and bat in the 280-300. So does anyone see this card reaching $200 if he does this?

I have his 08 Aspirations auto 90/100 on the bay right now. I priced it pretty high just because I think he is worth holding. And your right, his autos go for more and more each week.

Ahhh1 the quandry of the prospector!

Do you?

A. Hold for as long as possible?

B. Sell as soon as you can get it listed?

C. Buy as much as you can?

Well Each has a certain answer.

A. If you hold to long he may hit .250 with 20 hr's and 75 rbi's and now you have missed the bus on sales. Remember just because someone is Projected to Hit .300 with 30+ hr's and 100+ rbi's doesn't mean they will (look up Delmon Young, Dallas Mcpherson, amd others)

B. Remember the golden Rule of the prospector do not fall in love with your prospects this can cause you to do (A.) when you should be doing B.

C. No Way the risk reward on his stuff just isn't there right now Remember 07 Elites were his first auto's but he had Chrome cards and parallels in 06' so those cards are still the most sought after by collectors since they are first year cards.

Remember there is alot of hype surrounding him right now(not unjustified either) and its causing his cards to shoot up. I say sell at the beginning of spring training take your profits and be happy!

Just my .02
