Agreed. Rough week so far.

The Trout actually looks okay, despite the dark background. The outlining is quality Vides and makes it feel like a Chrome card. Trout looks 3D. But, I'd guess this will be the second Trout <10K in PR.

The Naturel is also... okay. I miss the small details on his other cards. I may look at his Gwynn a little longer and decide to get it to keep my early '80s Naturel collection going.

Lack of Patience is the #1 issue with Project 2020

Folk's daily OBSESSION with 1) print runs, 2) price changes, 3) shipping and 4) bitterness of others actions has made this thing a mess.

That being said, all of this continues to give me tremendous confidence that those that can stay the course will be significantly rewarded in the long term.

Agree. He was awesome when it came to picking up 3 topps now cards. But now that there are numbered parallels, I'm back to buying 5-packs from topps instead of 3 from Jake.

Todays cards are perfect for a Tuesday, nice and mellow, and the banter here will be slow enough that I can focus on work. I'm in for a 2pac at MSRP (or a $20 premium to your assigned values, which I'll account for as to the value of the two lottery tickets for a Trout auto or 1/1). But I'll wait until tomorrow to pull the trigger.

VIdes card is pretty strong, really like the contract within the jersey. I think this is one of the best Vides, not the best, but it's in the upper quarter for sure.

I continue to like what Naturel does with the cards, but it's definitely a, you either like it or you don't, and you probably know that before the card even comes out (similar to Sophia). Each Naturel card gives me a surge of childlike joy, and it hasn't changed throughout the set.

My review of people; they continue to act like they always do. Beautiful creatures, all of us.

Man I really hoped [mention]GeechQuest [/mention] would have popped back in here sometime in the past couple days- but like usual he’s hiding since there’s no easy potshots to be had.

Sucks too....after slandering my brand publicly (again) it would have been awesome to get a public apology from him for once. Oh well, some people just are poop to the core. Hope everyone has a good Tuesday!

The last 1-2 weeks have been so good though that this week was kind of expected to be a let down. The Mattingly looks good but the card does nothing for me. The Trout bugs me that the lines don't continue past the arch at the bottom of the card (but I wouldn't have been buying even if they did...and it may just be too little space to cram in so it just looks awkward regardless).

I think b/c the A in YANKEES in the original 1984 Topps card has a flat top. Naturel isn't creating his own alphabet, he's more trying to make a geometric version of what's in the card.

I understand what you're saying after looking at the original. Makes sense. It didn't look right at first glance, you can typically make out what it's trying to say and I just couldn't see it.

Exactly..how hard would it be to just send one tweet with and explanation from him on whats going on? I'm not happy he's closing up shop..but nobody forced him to get into this endeavor and yes the shipping and long waits were totally out of his hands but simple communication would've gone a long way into easing customer concerns

While I'm sure the lack of communication bothered people, I imagine the falling values of the cards they pre-ordered have done nothing to insight patience and certainly provide motivation to ask for refunds

Ton's of other artists are amazing as well, but less is more in regards to this set. Same with consistency. Like you said, you knew what the cards would look like before they were shown. I think this is a good thing.
