I finally pulled the trigger on this beauty. Been eyeing it for a while and got a great deal IMO. Prices aren't coming down soon on any of his stuff I'm afraid so figured why wait?

I had been eyeing that, too.

There’s a blue listed right now that’s absolutely beautiful. But I got the orange just last month for half of what that’s listed for, so I’m a little too reluctant to splurge on the higher print run.

Here’s my orange. It might not be quite as pretty as the blue and red. But the numbering helps make up for that.

You know what: I was meh about the 2019 design at first. And I now think the 2018-2019 flagship will be the modern generational sets. Obviously having the deep rookie classes helps, but 2019 is a very unique design that somehow worked out. 2018 probably has - ok, DEFINITELY has - the best color parallels, though '19 are at least in the discussion. And the failures of the 2020 and 2021 designs will help elevate the '18-'19 designs. 2016 was pretty good and 2011 will always have the Trout factor but I think 2019 and '19 will be iconic down the road.

Also, these Soto Clearly Authentics are really good looking cards. Carry on...

I hear ya. I haven’t really liked a design all that much since ‘16. (Even then, I didn’t love how the team logo was partially obscured.) But the parallels in ‘18 and ‘19 have been really strong. And of course, these sets could look like ‘91 Fleer and they’d still be iconic because of the rookie classes.

I do have to say about ‘20, though... After assembling some of the Bichette rainbow this year, I’m finding some of this year’s parallels to be semi-acceptable. Maybe it’s just the player.

What I really like about Clearly Authentic is that it basically offers flagship autos of veterans. (Well, at least until they changed the format this year.) I have to imagine a hypothetical Trout ‘12 Clearly Authentic would be pretty popular. So I’m thinking the same with the Soto. (I just wish I had thought of it sooner!)

Correct. The new buyer from here had said the corner wasn't as bad as depicted in the picture and it came back a BGS 9. I personally wouldn't have even cared if it was a 6 or a 7. I know I had offered the first buyer a solid amount and was told he got more so my guess is it went for $15-20K
