Good for Nash! Honestly I had no clue he wanted to be a coach.

"Now Kyrie... PASS the ball to KD, okay"

"Nah, I'm good coach"

Great player, will be really interesting to see how he does as a coach. Former star players are generally bad coaches so we'll see how it turns out.

I love Steve Nash and think he is an offensive genius, one of the most revolutionary players in history but I can't imagine Kyrie is going to listen to him and if Kyrie doesn't buy in the Nets will blow up, it's a given.

I'm what most people would call a SJW and I can say that's an asinine comment.

I guess since KD probably had a lot of say in wanting Nash as head coach, that this is actually a case of black privilage

Whoa this came out of nowhere. Love it! I feel like Nash is a much better coach and individual than JKidd.
Seems like Brooklyn going all in! Hopefully Nash will blossom into a great coach like Kerr!
Durant had more than a year to recover due to rona. He will come back strong and hungry. A lot to prove when he’s back. Time for the best scorer on the planet to get back on the court.
KD RCs will skyrocket when he starts to put up 30+ ppg
Cant wait!!!

Yup news broke and he spends 10 minutes on how it’s white privilege. Sad day when a brotha don’t get a job in the nba.

Max actually kinda pushed back, but still sitting there like he’s the odd man out in a cuckold like he usually does. Max openly admitted that head coaching jobs should not go to the best man, but the black man based on the predominant color of the league

I would be considered as well a SJW Liberal to a good portion of the political base and I think that is such a BS comment. Steve Nash like I said is an offensive genius - literally one of the most cerebral players in NBA history. I have a hard time seeing any way he isn't a success outside of Kyrie not buying in.

He's such a reactionary moron...

Jason Kidd, Derek Fisher, Magic Johnson, Mark Jackson, Doc Rivers, Isiah Thomas...

Kidd was hired as Nets HC 9 days after retiring... And Fisher hired by the Knicks a month after playing.

Absolutely. Just heard the SAS comments. He noted that guys like Fizdale and Mark Jackson were available and they didn't get a chance to coach a championship caliber team. Seems like he's assuming the Nets will get a lay-up championship and Nash will get credit for not doing much as a coach when other bad coaches could've done the same.

Crazy comment. I'd agree with him if the Nets hired someone like Travis Diener - but Nash is literally one of the best offensive minds in basketball with a crazy work ethic.

I hope someone picks up the Nets interim coach. I think he did really well with what he had.

I would love for my Wizards to bring him in over Scott Brooks.

RJ also pushed back because Stephen A is wrong on this. He gave Jason Kidd and Derek Fisher as clear examples of PG's of color who were given a coaching job with ZERO head coaching experience and even on faster track than Nash and then Stephen A changes the narrative and makes it about QUALITY of jobs. Also like RJ and Max were saying..KD and Kyrie SIGNED OFF ON THIS..they wanted him. So if you wanna get mad at anyone get mad at them. I'm all for equality and usually am at odds with those against things like kneeling etc..but Stephen A's insistance of turning every single thing into a race issue is eyerolling
