Fits the narrative, most pro athletes are black, money talks baby..think LeBron and China. Absolutely thrilled for Nash, great player and seems like a great human

I fully grasp the idea that we need more minority coaches, or minorities in team leadership . This is an issue, I'll fully agree with that sentiment but if someone that is fully qualified gets hired for a job that's not white privilege. That is someone that is fully qualified and is supported by the most important player in the organization Kevin Durant. You can say Ty Lue, you can say Mark Jackson, you can say Fizdale but according to the Nets they interviewed multiple people for this job.

Just seems bizarre to me. I don't care about the colour of the coach, I just find it crazy that a team looking to win the championship will hire a coach with absolutely no experience.
Has Nash been coaching at any kind of level? |

The guy I'd want for that job got fired from that job.

I thought the interim HC Vaughn had a decent shot. At least they kept him on as an assistant.

Kyrie blows teams up no matter what. This is going nowhere.

I don't think this is about Nash. It's about the Nash-Vaughn combo. The problem with Atkinson might have been that, while a good coach, he didn't had the playing/coaching pedigree KD/Kyrie wanted.
Nash brings that while allowing Vaughn to do most of the X and Os. It could end up being a great idea or a terrible one. But it's bold for sure.

Wonder how good Nash is at changing diapers. KD and Kyrie are both babies.
Seriously, primadonnas that I would not want to coach.

I ran across the headline earlier and thought it was an Onion article. If you don’t think we’ve jumped the shark by now, I don’t know what to tell you. It’s only going to get worse.

Maybe that's what they're hoping for but at least Kerr had been in organisations already (not as a coach but at least in some form), Nash just seems to have been brought in from the blue.
Hey, if it works, great - the Nets have kinda been my second team since they drafted Allen - but for a team that's really in win now mode I think it's a strange choice. |

You either have coaching experience or you don’t. It’s black or white. I worked for an NHL front office. Can I coach?

Was just browsing YouTube, and saw this ESPN upload. This could be the most hilarious title of a sports video in history. “Steve Nash cares about more than basketball, so he’s a good hire for Nets.”
Twilight. Zone.
