Anonymity in submissions, bids, and consignments is the card doctors' great enabler, and the firms that control the hobby wouldn't have it any other way.

Way way back in the day, Brent used to upload scans to a self-hosted website that actually were named according to the consignor lol which you could see if you downloaded them. As in moser1.jpg. Seriously. I told maybe three people and swore them to secrecy, and one of them blabbed, because Brent changed his system soon thereafter.

After he was tipped off and hid the consignor info in the URL, I thought you could also ask Brent, at one point, if a card was safe to buy. Sorry I was laughing as I was typing. I do not recall him ever telling you to avoid something you had interest in.

Yeah, after that we did have a deal for a time where I could ask in code if a card was a dealer card (code for bad) or collector card (code for safe). Of course I didn't entirely trust the answers he gave me.

Some of the 1934 Goudey baseball cards that are in the May 2022 Heritage Auctions

Was a PSA 7, now a PSA 9.

Pevarnick purchased the card on June 03, 2019 for $250.00.

Appears the corners were tightened up a bit. Scans are not clear enough to be 100% sure but that was a very nice 7 to start off with but I see some light wear or dullness to the 7 corners that possibly were cleaned up for the 9.

Mint 9s do not usually get slabbed as 7s. So some minor issue had to have been corrected, imo.

The two lower corners on the back of the O'Doul have been filed. They are slightly different angles in the upgrade compared to what they were in the original slab. I am sure with much larger scans we could see the differences in all 4 corners.

Either filed or microtrimmed. I'm seeing the same thing as you.

I think he files them. Looking back at others in this thread it seems he is reshaping them and not always doing a good job but hey PSA did not care. It is all about the effort! In some cases he might be doing a full trim job but he is not micro trimming by hand taking off a few mm of an edge.
