Only saving grace is the WS have been doing the same thing. Going to be a big lift for whichever team eventually comes away with this one, feeling like it'll set the tone for the series

For a low scoring game I really enjoyed the game last night. Felt like a real war of attrition getting hits and runs. Sox deserved the win in the end. I think pressure told in the 8th with a couple of crucial walks and Robert showed some good plate discipline there. Be interesting to see how this series develops.

The Buxton HR called back was absolutely crap. Eloy literally dislodged the ball 5 seconds later when he realized Buxton was rounding third. If it was stuck, like legitimately stuck, he wouldn’t have been able to get it

It's technically the right call. It did bounce in there in such a way that you're taught to toss up your arms, even if it came directly after yet another horrendous defensive play. But that's as weak is it's going to get with that rule. There's no way there was any impediment to picking up the ball, as you can plainly see when he did pick it up. It was a huge bailout to an awful defensive play. I'm surprised it was reviewable

Huge win last night, desperately needed. Odo looked good, sucks he had to come out due to his finger problem. I was worried the Sox would start crushing it when the bullpen came in but Stashak was incredible, dropped his balls on the table with a strong outing.

Sano’s clutch HR allowed the bullpen a little breathing room, Duffey going 2 was needed. I know he won’t be available tonight but we needed that win last night

Buxton is so so good. This team is just so much better when he’s in the lineup. There’s absolutely zero reason to trade him

Going for the series split and the overall season series win today at 2 EST. I feel good because OUR ACE KENTA is on the mound versus Reynaldo Lopez

Win today, back to 1 behind in the standings with 8 to go. Plus Twins would have the tiebreaker if they win today

I love Donaldson lmao. Absolutely horrendous strike call from the ump, then Donny just unloads on the next pitch. Kicking dirt on the plate was petty and the ejection was whatever but I'm all for it in this case, lol
