Easiest place to find them is in the back section of the 16mm book. If you join the fb groups there are albums with all of Bianchis sketches that have been seen out in the wild (he never took pics).
Joe was likely paid more but he also took 4-5yrs to finish 16mm. Dave and Simone had 2yrs. Something people forget when they compare the art.
At one point when things were bad with covid situation it was looking doubtful that this set would even get released. There was mention of job losses in UD etc. I thought if it did it would be exclusively an epacks release. Not sure why people are suprised now that it's looking like it might be an 80% or higher epacks release with significantly less physical product available.
I know fans love to speculate, but just to clarify all the rumors and assumptions-I painted 2016 over the span of about 2 and 1/2 years, not 4 or 5. The dates on the paintings confirm that. I was not paid any more than the guys since (I wish) and (for various reasons that are not for public consumption) I actually made more money from the 1992 Skybox set. I had proposed the new set for the 20th anniversary but it took UD a few years to actually pull the trigger, which is why it falls between the 20th and 25th anniversarys. I painted MM16 because I’ve always known that MM92, despite being as popular as it is, was never my best work as it was painted in 3 and 1/2 months and I wanted to give the property the care and attention I always wished I could have. Feeling that I succeeded in what I set out to do, and successfully rebooting a franchise I created almost 30 years ago, for that (and other reasons) I can pretty much guarantee that my Upper Deck trading card days are behind me. Thank you to everyone who has embraced my efforts with this property over the years. Both sets are very close to my heart and are pretty much career defining for me, which could not make me more proud.

You knocked the 2016 set out of the park. Four years later and I'm still in awe of the artwork. Now I've got nostalgia for the set that was meant to illicit nostalgia from 90s collectors.

Always amazing to see you post and be active in the community. Thanks for all the hard work youve put into the sets over the years. MM is the reason I started collecting non-sports cards and your art is the best, bar none.

And people were complaining about a small store selling it for $219.99...

While Steel City is charging $300...

I thought it was weird that I saw a box sell for 270 on eBay. The only thing I can think is maybe they're from a restricted area? I assume that's still a thing with the Marvel stuff. Beyond that...why pay anything over 250 when UD is selling them for that.

The two boxes I got from my LCS were $200. Someone had already bought 7 of the 12 before I got there. I grabbed two and enjoyed opening them and did pretty well I went back the next day to grab more but they were sold out. My LCS only got 1 case of this. Normally they get a few cases of marvel stuff if they think it's going to be a big seller.

For you number crunchers, out of my 4 boxes I opened I got:
9 base
10 base
11 base
12 base, one being a tier 4

Sketch in every box.

Instead people just use PayPal and often a free pack card to do this. Why let PayPal to get a cut when you can? Plus by setting it up directly on EPack you can allow for a safer transaction where the money doesn’t change hands unless the actual card is put up to complete the transaction.
I would suggest that COMC have something in their contract that says UD can't sell on the site, it would be a conflict of interest I suspect. I agree that it would be much better to be able to just buy certain cards, especially for achievements and the like, but I can't see UD doing it on their own, maybe better integration with COMC's systems including their payment system maybe?

Thanks! It was a long overdue revisitation and I had a lot of fun with those cards!

Lets hope people aren't so sensitive that a shadow on a face causes trouble. Haha.

You have to sign up for a $40 VIP membership to watch the webinars, but David Palumbo is doing a 2 hour webinar on MM for Illuxcon Online on 10/18. That's probably the only card related thing but if you're into sci-fi/fantasy art you might find some of the other stuff worthwhile as well.

Marvel Masterpieces: David Palumbo
10/18/2020 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM EST

Summary: Join Marvel Masterpieces artist David Palumbo for a discussion focused around his amazing work in the newest Topps set. Excelsior!

I'm not 100% sure what the OP was referring to either...not 100%. But I am 99% sure he is saying that the Colossus holofoil looks like he's drawn with "black face". Again, if that's the case, hopefully people aren't so sensitive that a shadow on a face on a card in a marvel set "causes problems". Then there's the 1% chance I totally missed what he was referring to as well .
