But he didn't. That isn't cling wrap, it appears more likely to be a plastic bag. If you look closely, you see a seam along the right edge and along the top edge. And it looks too loose. cling wrap would be pressed down everywhere. I also don't buy that it was impossible to open, scissors to the space on the bottom edge of the card and it should slide right out. Or cut the one piece of tape holding it shut.

That doesn't make it any better, it's still a terrible way to ship. I wish the OP would provide a picture of the damage that he claims. OP is overreacting just a little

I had a 1961 leaf Brooks Robinson shipped in a PWE with nothing in it but the card. No paper, no saran wrap, nothing. They are thin and super condition sensitive, and it showed up perfect. Couldn't believe it.

I just received a USA dual auto baseball cover panel. /10. eBay seller shipped it in a PWE w/ a couple old UD inserts on both sides scotch taped to the penny sleeve it was in.

Card has creases around the window now. It's a low number of a player I collect so I'm keeping it regardless. Just kind of ridiculous how shipping is approached by some sellers.

I threw it away but it was some kind of thin baggie that was taped in wide packing tape.

What's funny about my situation is one time I ordered a /5 Card and the shipper practically wrapped it in a bulletproof safe (multiple toploaders, and dozens of common cards to protect) and it showed up absolutely demolished. It was so bad the bubble mailer was all dirty and I suspect USPS literally ran over it at the warehouse. Seller refunded and was sympathetic but that one was a headscratcher.

I thought "Reynolds Wrap" was ALUMINUM FOIL, not plastic wrap.
Yes, I'm sure they make plastic as well, but people call that "Plastic Wrap"......

Do you have pictures of the damage to the card? If I zoom it a ton, I can maybe see some corner damage, but could you provide an image of it?

Default Shipping a card in reynolds wrap only

I expect this one will generate its own thread soon

Why? I’m 99% sure this is the purple chrome refractor (I asked the seller for an image of the back side, but haven’t heard back)

Note their description is “blue” (which was the #/68)

Also note their description telling us they do not misrepresent (they are well researched!), and errors are rare (but possible)

Made me laugh when I saw that

I have pics I provided to ebay, but I don't want to stir more drama here so I wll decline sending pics here. The card was not totally destroyed, but here is a bad corner dent and dents/gashes on the back. My pics show damage in the area where the seller's pics do not.

Call out threads with no proof of the claims generally don't go well here. We all agree it's was a terrible ship job. You could have just left it at that if you didn't want any pushback. And showing the damage would cause less drama than claiming it but refusing to show it.

The seller could wrap my $10 card in a slice of Ham and I’d be fine as long as he didn’t call me bro.

I got a bowman transcendent base card in today. No sleeve, no top loader, just the card wrapped in a piece of paper, and tossed into a way too big padded envelope. Somehow it was a sports card shop that sent it, one that has 27k feedback. So it's not just the sneaker bois that ship horribly.

I received a card shipped that way too but it was in a penny sleeve. Surprisingly, there wasn't any noticeable damage. I just don't understand why you wouldn't put the card in a toploader at the very least.

That's a popular way of sending drugs through the mail.

Default Shipping a card in reynolds wrap only

Just a reminder: don’t ship in mag cases... they are no better than Saran Wrap as a solution... good way for the buyer to end up with a badly pinched card
