The VX 4 was a 2018 Panini Ozzie Albies Black Auto 1/1 lol. I will take a photo and make a thread about it when it shows up. I thought it was a 9. Either the grader dropped it in his coffee or I was extremely drunk when I subbed it. Overall I'm happy with the results. Some cards gemmed that thought were 8s and some I thought were 10s graded out at 7s

Nice. Can’t wait to see what’s wrong with the Albies!

Congrats! Express is running pretty consistently at around 2-2.5 weeks. I’m trying out regular ($50 vs express $75), hoping that clocks in around 30 days total turnaround and I can save a few bucks.

That's the one thing about express. If you pay the price, you will definitely be rewarded in process time.

New to grading this year but not new to collecting (almost 30 years). I’ve just been monitoring progress during covid era but seems to be getting better. I submitted a few LeBron and a Topps Wade gold border rookie. Primarily 9s and a 10 on the LeBron’s but the Wade received an 8 probably because it was OC. Otherwise it would’ve gotten a 9.

The date they actually acknowledge possession of it is valuable too though. Basically two distinct timers: Received--->Logged | Logged----> Shipped

extreme, extreme apologies for the noob question but i wanted to make sure that my ducks are in a row. at what point does PSA charge your card for different service levels? are they all uniform in that they charge you when the grades pop and they're shipping or are there some that require advance payment? i know this board is probably rife with information on this exact question but it would be super helpful if someone could give me the quick and dirty on it.

Pretty sure they charge as soon as they “receive/log” your cards.

very interesting. i just had an economy order hit the research phase and i haven't been charged for that but the website information makes it seem like your description is correct. curious what happened there.
