Romeo has just had surgery and hopefully will be back healthy next year, get in a good camp and become a contributor.
I like him, plays solid defence, has a smooth game and likes to attack the basket. Think he may need the ball in his hands to be effective though, not spotting up from 3. Would be good to see him get some ball handling minutes off the bench going forward. However I don't know how that could happen unless Hayward leaves. I think he has upside...what you all think? |

I think he could be an okay player and will not have much hobby value.

He will never be the best player on any team he is on. So, I would steer clear (from an investment point of view).

Very good defensive player than can get to the bucket but needs to work on his shot quite a bit to see regular minutes.

No reason for him not to be really, just needs to be able to catch and shoot. Up to him to put in the work. Really like what he does defensively.

Everyone is talking about his defense - that's indicative of the work he's willing to put in. Meanwhile, he's one of the leading scorers in Indiana High School history with over 3,000 points scored in his 4 years. Which is to say he certainly can do plenty well on offense but had to deal with both a thumb and now wrist issue in his right (shooting) hand which definitely stalled his development a bit. Neither should linger (generally speaking) and he's only 20 years old. I love him as a prospect and think he can be a star in the league. It's easy to look at what Herro is doing now and make the comparison between them because they were picked back to back, but he can definitely make an impact given his size and versatility.

He hasn’t been healthy in 2 years. I’m not sure anyone knows how he is gonna pan out. He has potential but is currently hurt and buried on the Boston depth chart.

Has the potential to be an 8th man in a good team. He just has been hurt to much. I’m intrigued to see the Celtics draft. Their selections could be telling in regards to his future role with the team.

Langford has the upside to be the 7th man maybe.

I think he could make a roster. Maybe be the 11th, perhaps 12th man.

2 way wings are always going to be in high demand. only saw a few clips of him in college but I think he has a good build and solid mechanics. maybe won't be a star but should hang around in the league for a while

For development purposes, would be nice if he was the guy inserted in the starting lineup if/when Gordon is either injured or no longer with the Celtics. Smart needs to stay on the bench. If you watched Romeo play this season, he very much has deer in the highlights on the offensive side. And now, he’s coming off surgery and a shot rework. I’d say first thing he needs is health, then opportunity. Stevens has already called him elite defensively, so you know coach will find a way to get him on the floor and playing to his strengths while the offensive side comes around. He also seems to have a strong work ethic and willingness to improve. It may take a couple seasons, but I think there’s a chance he’s a starter. He’s 6’5 with a 6’10/11 wingspan. He’s young and has a lot of potential IMO. If you like the way JB/JT have developed, I think he’s definitely worth taking a flier on. I have a decent stash.

I agree. I think he has a lot of potential to unlock. Health and opportunity. The rest will come. I’m all for trading picks/players to upgrade our starting C position, bench shooter and maybe a draft and stash.

Me too! I love Rob. His athleticism is through the roof and he’s a good passer. But, it’s gonna take a couple years more than likely. Teams play differently just by him being on the floor.
