Yes you can

DO NOT EDIT IT to add more cards. It will create a new submission with the new pricing.

My 57 card economy order went from $800 to almost $3000

If I send in bulk, I get cards back that are valued $100-499 all the time, no upcharge. But if a card gets sent back and is now $500+, I'm getting the upcharge for sure.

This happened recently with Ja Morant base prizms. I think 10s were reaching $600-700 when I got my order back and I got the $20 upcharge on all of them. The PSA 9s that were selling for $200, no upcharge.

PSA 10s are now around $400, so I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't get upcharges now (I think I still have a few at PSA).
PSA targets popular issues and egregious abuses of DV. My entire point was that PSA reserves the right to assign whatever DV they want, and there’s no arguing it. If you don’t like it, you get your card back raw.

Will PSA now be upcharging $100 cards to Express? Doubtful. But what about $200, $300, $400? For group subs it doesn’t even matter since they are keeping the <$499 DV level for $5 more. But the individual submitter might want to consider the possibility of bigger upcharges.

They do actually. Also happened to me in the Yelich craze at the beginning of last year.

Cards went from $40-60 to $500 in the span of 2 months and I got upcharged accordingly.

I doubt they upcharge to the $100 tier. Economy is suspended to new orders until they can catch up. It will be back eventually. I would assume they still use the Economy pricing tier for the upcharge and not go to the next level.

Yelich boom is reasonable. Probably the biggest baseball increase in the past decade.

I was told that a number of times by Joe & Steve in years past regarding Monthly/Quarterly CC Specials for post-1955 sports cards at better than bulk prices! 3.5 years later (Feb 2017 was the last time), still waiting

Bit of a different story... but the absence reasoning is exactly the same... so, there's that!

Yes, despite that negative experience. Have had thousands of cards graded without incident. Silly that you wouldn't be extra careful on a card of greater value, but they did make my brother whole, and the value created by the service is undeniable.

So a card deemed a $105 value by PSA will cost $50 + insurance to grade?

Cool.

The irony of a twat Brit holding a gun. Dude... $105 is fine within the $99 boundaries.

From PC Sportscards:

Price changes.
As many of you know PSA raised their prices overnight last night which will have a direct impact on our submission pricing. All group submissions that got delivered on Saturday last week or prior have been processed at the old pricing. Any group submission orders that got delivered on Monday or later will be subject to the new pricing as they have not been entered into submissions yet. We processed all personals that were delivered as of yesterday (before 9 AM) so the only orders effected are ones that were still in transit. If your order arrived yesterday after 9 AM, today or is in transit the price will go up. We know that they removed the $20 price level for Regular or Economy (whichever it was named) and there is a question out there about upcharges on existing and new bulk orders. We do not have that answer yet but will post an update on the website when we know it.

The price changes are as follow: Vintage and Gaming Bulk along with express pricing remains the same $9 and $65 respectively. Modern 1972-2016 bulk goes up $1 to $10 per card. Ultra-Modern 2017 and newer bulk goes up $3 to $15 per card. Standard (Declared Value up to $499) goes up $5 to $25 per card.

We assume that you will still want us to submit your cards but if you want them pulled or switched to a different level please let us know as soon as possible as we are continuously working on submissions.

As always we thank you for trusting us with your cards and giving us your business. If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback please feel free to reach us via email, instagram, facebook or blowoutcards.

crappppp I was queueing up all my cards to send in this week as Economy because Bulk was gonna take too long. Now there's literally no "reasonable" option anymore. It's either $50 or 9 months...

I think it will be way less than 9 months because people can’t buy the memberships to get the bulk discounts anymore.

I think you can still buy silver level memberships (that doesn't come w/ economy vouchers) to get bulk pricing.

So these "20-day" submissions still take twice as long, if not more due to the log times. I just had a 20-day submission get logged on 9/26 and they received it on 8/16...that's a real problem. I also have a "20-day" submission that was logged on 8/31 and it's still in research. 20 days has come and gone and not even in the grading milestone yet. It's a 235 card order too.
The more I think about this today, the more I think this was actually GENIUS on PSA's part. Not the whole scope of changes, that's still TBD in my mind... but, rather the suspension of Economy service, but leaving it available to authorized dealers for $25/per, instead of $20/per!

The vast majority of organization and research falls on the dealers. People are forced to go the dealer route if they want that service, so that's exponentially less individual packages being delivered to PSA. Now, for $5 more, they can still get the same number of Economy cards submitted but have to process somewhere, roughly, between 10x-25x fewer packages. That, and their authorized dealers, if marketed correctly, get more business.

If you, and other dealers/group submitters, pull this off well... I could see where Economy never comes back... but rather, going through an authorized dealer for that level of service just becomes the new normal.

Not saying I'm in favor of it... but not saying I'd hate it, either!

I just sent an email inquiry about becoming a PSA Dealer.

I would hope that I'm doing enough volume to satisfy the requirements, but we shall see.

Glad I got two subs into the system yesterday.
I bought three sets of 15 vouchers, but I’ll save those until we see what happens with the economy.

Depends when the damage happens. I actually had a damage / replacement case open because someone returned a Zion Optic Holo PSA 10 for a scratch that turned out to actually be on card, so it must have happened during encapsulation. A rep called me this week and offered $800 for the current difference between a 9 & 10, but I told her that due to recent price decreases, my actual loss was closer to $1500. (Original DV was $500 I think?) She was real nice and sympathetic to the situation, supposedly going to get back to me this week. At this point I'd take the $800 and a voucher to squeeze in one more jumbo order at "old" pricing

so the $20ish level still exists for dealers? I figured it was a typo on the Jewcer email but I'll double check. maybe there is still hope!

I've always maintained that group subs are to the benefit of PSA. PSA doesn't want 100 subs from 100 individuals with 10 of them having errors. They want
100 subs from 1 group sub with 0 errors. They take a couple bucks off per card in exchange for no errors and grouped return shipments so they can maintain throughput. This is how business is supposed to work.

I prefer to avoid my cards being shipped to more places than necessary so this is a little frustrating that going through group subs seems to be the only financially sensical way to go now. I prefer to handle my own items so I’m not sure what I’ll do from here.
