Do yourself a favor and watch anything EXCEPT Fox & CNN. The world is laughing at us! The World.....especially Trumpers...considered the biggest bag of douchery on the planet currently. By the way...there is a difference between a Trumper and a republican.
Somehow we will double deaths in 2 months?

I don't watch either Fox or CNN. I watch very little "news".

All I know is that if my grandfather with a bad heart, and bad lungs, catches the wrong flu strain, he will likely die. This has been the case for at least the last 5 years. I didn't see anyone freaking out about masks 5 years ago and he and his population was at similar risk.
I dont think you understand how a virus that we know little about, is compared to a flu that we know everything about. Would be like debating with a stapler.

5 months yes...fake lockdown was in March.

I should have made that more clear.

Except we do know A LOT about it. Unless we stay shut down for a decade while we learn about "long-term effects".

Ahh, no trends supports that, however.

Oh, I understand. We know everything about the flu and it still kills 60k a year. Got it.

Covid would have killed far less if we would have protected the vulnerable at the outset. Hindsight is 20/20.

I don't know, maybe the HOSPITAL?

It's not just about him. It's the people that work in the building.

As long as he is in good condition, he should go home and ride it out there.

All you people should be thankful. The reason you get to stay home is because black women keep the grocery shelves stocked.

Did I say he got it from not wearing a mask? I was pointing out he was flippant with how serious he took it.

And last year was 24-62K deaths from the flu. Quite the range. Almost like the numbers aren’t totally accurate.

As someone who lived in Bethesda a couple streets south of Walter Reed and has had family treated there I can assure you they could not care less about presidential security protocol.

It's a military installation and is prepared for everything.

Your assumption makes light of the capabilities of that compound.

You know nothing about Walter Reed if you think this was even a minor inconvenience to them.

Now I’m really looking forward to the next debate.

Trump will walk in and rip off his shirt Hulk Hogan style.

Biden will come in wearing a hazmat suit and spraying Lysol.

And the state of Georgia will still be a festering dung pile.

Look, if we dropped in the common flu today as a brand new novel virus, it would kill a lot of people. That is what happens when you get something new and that you don't have immunity, treatments, or vaccines for.

That doesn't mean you just say "screw it" and let people die though. At the very least, wear a mask which the president openly discourages people from doing. We saw with the BLM protests that transmission actually was quite low as most people at those protests wore masks. There have been studies and physical evidence that masks can effectively halt or even slow transmission. It is no coincidence that South Korea and Japan have fared very well with this compared to us. Mask wearing was already a norm there. Even if we don't know whether it works or not, just do it for the love of god if there is even a chance it helps. People that refuse to wear a mask basically sum up everything wrong with this country between ignorance and selfishness.

We would be in a much better position right now if people could act like adults. Wear masks, distance when appropriate, stop having giant family gatherings indoors...it has been shown you can go to events, especially outdoor ones if you wear masks and honestly even indoor ones, but stop acting like it is stealing a god given liberty if you have to wear one.

These claims are getting ridiculous. Where did you come up with this one now?

It's hard to nail down. Usually flu causes pneumonia or something and the patient may or may not be tested for it. Almost like it doesn't matter to label it. Flu deaths were probably far higher than reported. Covid came and wiped out the flu.
