Man... This dude is absolutely smokin' right now.

I was watching this game on ESPN game cast (like, watching the strike zone w/ box scores - not actually watching the game) looked down, looked back up and saw Choi up with nobody on-base and thought "well, they finally got him out" before glancing over to the 3 1 3 1 box score line.

He was the one card I pulled in my 2-box Sapphire break that I wasn't going to get rid of (other than the ones that weren't worth selling - roughly 99% of my boxes) but I may be forced to if he keeps this craziness up.

Way to pick him out Rays!

What a trade that was.

It sure seems as though if you and the Rays agree to a trade, you've lost.

Pittsburgh and St Louis agree with you.

It’s a long story. Not related to him, just in general it was discussed that modern WAR and other numbers that people use to determine if a player is a future HOF or not. Arozarena being 25 and shine he’s that old he doesn’t have a shot at the HOF because he doesn’t have enough years to play in order to accumulate WAR numbers to put him in the HOF.
Whereas the 20 somethings Tatis, Acuna, Soto etc are already locks it appears.

Got it.

I have to say he is white hot. He sure looks like a HOF player at the moment.

The Cardinals are a seriously terrible organization. How much more incredible talent has to languish for extra unnecessary years in their minor league system? Arozarena, Voit, Pham. All these guys wasting chunks of their prime in the Cards farm system

It’s fun to watch. I don’t care about the WAR/HOF debate. People have baseballgasms over Acunas playoff numbers yet this guy is making Acuna look like a little leaguer.

12 for 18...he could go 5 for his next 32 at bats and still have a .340 batting average. Crazy start.

To the people who say he isn't worth collecting because of his age, that's total nonsense. You collect who you want to collect. I get the value wise, but if has a big postseason like he is having and has a solid career, there will always be some value to him. My favorite part of collecting is the fact that we can live through their careers in some regard because we have some stock in them. Love the ride.

I think I just had one of those "baseballgasms" you mentioned when I saw Arozarena's postseason OPS.

This will be the absolute best time to sell his stuff. Just hope you don’t get returns.

Doesn't he get to crush the baseball, and the Yankees come to think of it, next season? And the season after that? And after that? And.. so on.

It’s probably best if the other 29 GM’s ignore the phone if the Rays are calling in. It hasn’t turned out well for anyone lately.

Also worth noting: the Rays will be HEAVILY followed the next few years as Wander and co rise through the ranks. This is a ridiculously fun, easy to root for (unless you're a Yankee fan) baseball team that's about to add a generational prospect to the mix. The eyeballs are going to be on him as if he were a major market player.

Seriously. How could they give up such a gem like Luke Weaver for a scrub like Goldy?

It was a one year rental... don’t get too carried away with yourself.

You're 100% right. Wander Franco is one hell of a talent. You also have Lowe, Meadows, Morton, Snell, etc. It's a good time to be a Rays fan. Once they start allowing fans back in the stadiums, I will fly down there to catch a few Sox games. (Cheaper even with the flight, no lie).

You would have to hope he keeps on hitting but the Yankees pull out the series...that way his value carries into next season
