i don't get the prism hype. Not very interesting outside of chasing some color and at more than $400 a box would never consider a purchase. As there are 4 other products with nearly the same break down

probably but as I suspected once some of these flippers and "new" investors die out when people can't afford the ridiculous prices I suspect they will come down some unless they want to just sit on unsold product. No extra covid payments is a bitch lol

I have been dumb enough to pay outrageous money for a few of the hobby releases lately including 2 boxes of Mosaic. Let's just say that the Mosaic Boxes did not come with lube. Can I afford Prizm at 1k? Sure, but I can think of alot of other ways to turn 1k into $250. Maybe I hit the big card in Prizm but I dont even feel like taking the risk. Retail to scratch the itch and singles for cards I want. I wish these would sit on the shelf but they will be sold out so fast....

I agree, especially the designs in this vintage. I cant be the only one who thinks their ugly? There were years they were beautiful and warranted the hype in my opinion but not this one. Ill still buy retail if i see them but not as high on this years prizm look... just me..

I see zero difference between Prizm, Optic, Phoenix, and now Mosaic. Outside of design preference...I only favor Prizm because people pay stupid money for the graded RC's. That's the only thing that makes it worthwhile for me personally.

It USED to be a cheap, fun break, much like Chrome was. Sure, you'd get a bunch of stuff you didn't care about when you ripped it back from 12-15, but it didn't matter because you were only spending about 60 bucks on a box (less if you were doing 13/14 in the early part of 2015 when hobby boxes were as low as 30 bucks). The colors and variations were fun, and it was relatively inexpensive to get a full rainbow.

Those particular shiny parts of the Prizm experience have definitely gone dull.

100%. All of this.

I have monster boxes full of 2012-2015 Prizm FB because it was half the price of Chrome and was just as fun to rip. My jaw dropped when I came back into the hobby a little heavier last year and saw what people were paying for 2012 PSA Brady/Brees etc. I've been going through it for the past 2 weeks to send it all off to PSA. Whatever...people like what they like...fools and their money...etc. I don't get it...but that's not anyone else's problem. Glad to be adding desirable cards to the marketplace.

I have a feeling it’s not going to be a Merry Prizmas with retail being scooped up by a bunch of guys who should camp out in the deodorant aisle instead and hobby box prices topping $1k+.

I agree, the uber high price of hobby and this years rookie class,will for sure. make retail prizm a must have for the sweat hogs that camp out at target and walmart.

What people also don't realize, is the high cost to open the stuff, singles are going to be more expensive.

Burrow and Herbert prices are going to be stupid high I feel.

Mosaic is ruining my eBay searches. Seems that every time I search for 2020 cards of players I PC, about 80% of the search results come back Mosaic

You know you can filter out what you don’t want by including ‘-mosaic’ in the search bar.

And you know, that when you negate a word, you break the ebay associated word searches, right?

If you search for Urlacher Autograph, you get 428 auctions. That is because ebay will automatically associate listings that have auto, signed, autographed etc for you.

Once you negate the search string by taking out a field, the search filters will ONLY show you exact matching hits.

If I make the same search, and add -chicken, now I only see 117 auctions. Why? Because the only returns will be exact hits IE ONLY Urlacher Autograph, none of the associations for autograph will appear. If someone has something up, and they used signed, auto, signature etc I am blind to them once I take out a word. There cant be over 300 auctions that had the word Chicken in the title for an Urlacher auto.

In summary, since so many people do not understand this, when you start dropping words from your search field, you not only negate that word you want, but all the other words ebay would tie to your search string.
